The Identity of Mystery Babylon and Her Harlot Daughters. Revelation 17: 5 " And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. " Described for us in the Book of Revelation is a great prostitute called Mystery Babylon the Great. This is symbolism naturally. We can know who Mystery Babylon is by simply putting all the pieces from the Bible together and see who it points to in our world. 1. So we have a woman, who is a prostitute, and who commits fornication with the Kings of the earth.2. She has given birth to daughters, who are also harlots. 3. She is Mystery Babylon the Great and she is very rich and powerful - Babylon The Great. 4. She sits on and controls a scarlet colored Beast. 5. The woman is drunken on the blood of the martyrs of Jesus that she has killed. 6. She sits upon many waters, which are symbolic of peoples speaking different languages and nations. 7. She has a golden goblet in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication. 8. The inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. 9. And the woman is that great city which reigns over the Kings of the earth. 10. This city where she lives is built in, or around or among seven hills, or mountains. Revelation Chapter 17 Revelation 17:1 " And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: " Revelation 17:2 " With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. " Revelation 17:3 " So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. " Revelation 17:12 " And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. Revelation 17:13 " These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. Revelation 17:14 " These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him [are] called, and chosen, and faithful. Revelation 17:15 " And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. Revelation 17:16 " And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. Revelation 17:17 " For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. Revelation 17:18 " And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. "
So let us look in our world today and see who, or what fits the description of Mystery Babylon the Great. 1.
Mystery Babylon described in Revelation the 17th chapter is a church. First of all we have to look for a church. God's true church is described as a woman (Revelation 12th Chapter). However, the true church is pure and faithful to Christ, and is described as the wife of Jesus Christ. She is arrayed in fine linen, clean and white, which symbolizes righteousness (Revelation 19:7-9). Mystery Babylon is also a woman or church, but she is not faithful to Christ. Instead she has prostituted herself out to the Kings of the earth. She commits fornication with the Kings (governments) of the earth. In other words she is heavily involved in politics. So you look for a church which is heavily involved in politics.
2. She is a great church (Mystery Babylon The Great). Big, powerful, rich and with many members. This is not some little flock. Revelation 17:1-5 " And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. " Revelation 17:4 " And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: " Okay, so we are looking for a great church, which is rich and powerful materially, and which is heavily involved in politics. 3. She has been and will be for a short period before Christ returns, in control of a group of nations on the earth, or in control of an Empire. This is a church that has existed for a very long time, and who has controlled governments and kingdoms in the past. Revelation 17:3 " So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns." Revelation 17:7-10 " And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. " The Beast or Kingdom upon which the prostitute sits existed before, but it died. It will rise up once more, but will go into perdition - which means eternal destruction.
4.The Kings, or governments of the earth go to bed with her. She is heavily involved in politics. Revelation 17:2 " With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. "
So what we have so far is a church, which is rich and powerful, and deeply involved in politics. In fact this church has existed for a long time and has controlled governments or a empire in the past. This church sits on and controls a scarlet coloured beast. She has been in control of some sort of Kingdom or government or empire here on earth, and will do so again. 5. She is described as that " great city. " This is a city. A church and a city too. This great city has and will rule over the Kings of the earth, which mean governments. Revelation 17:18 " And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. " Revelation 14:8 " And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. "
Okay, so we look for a great and powerful church, which is also a city, and which has ruled over a Kingdom or Empire in the past.
6. The city where she lives is built in, or around or among seven hills, or mountains. Revelation 17:9 " And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. " From the Living Bible Revelation 17:9 " And now think hard: his seven heads represent a certain city built on seven hills where this woman has her residence. " So it should be clear who Mystery Babylon is by now. Here is a great city and a huge powerful great church - both together in one, which has ruled over a Kingdom or Empire in the past. She is heavily involved in politics.
7. The nations, or Empire she has and will control are made up of many different people's, who speak different languages. Revelation 17:1 " And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: " Revelation 17:15 " And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. "
So we have this great church, who has ruled over an empire or kingdom in the past, and this empire has been made up of a vast number of people, comprised of different nations, which speak different languages. So which group or religious organization fits this description ? We must look for a church, which is also a city - that is built in or among seven hills or mountains. We must look for a church which has existed for a very long time, and which has ruled an empire, or kingdom in the past which has been made up of multitudes of people, of different nations, and peoples speaking different languages. We must look for a very wealthy church - Mystery Babylon the Great. A church which is heavily involved in politics. So who in our contemporary world fits that description ? I will give you one more clue.
8. She has given birth to daughter churches, who are also deeply involved in politics. Revelation 17:5 " And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. " Here is a great church that has given birth to daughter churches, which like their mother are harlots. So mystery Babylon's daughter churches also go to bed with the governments of the earth. It should be plain who we are talking about here - none other than the Roman Catholic Church. The Protestant Churches came out of the Catholic Church in Protest - during the Reformation. Martin Luther broke away from the Catholic Church and formed the Lutheran Church. Also emerging from the Roman Catholic Church in protest were the Reformed, Calvinist and Presbyterian Tradition, and the Anabaptist Tradition and the Anglican Tradition. All these various Protestant Churches are daughters of Mystery Babylon, and are themselves prostitutes. They also go to bed with the Kings of the earth. In fact the Monarch (Queen Elizabeth) in England appoints the Archbishop of Canterbury who heads the Anglican Church - the Church of England. During all this period God's true church continued and continues to exist, but it has been and still is a despised and persecuted church. It still exist today, but God's true church is not like Mystery Babylon the Great and her Harlot Daughters. It is a little flock. It is a spiritual organization consisting of those who have the Holy Spirit living in them. The seat of the Roman Catholic Church is Vatican City, which is in Rome and which is build close to the Seven Hills of Rome. The names of the seven hills of Rome are: Aventine , Caelian, Capitoline, Esquiline, Palatine, Quirinal and Viminal. The Catholic Encyclopedia states: "It is within the city of Rome, called the city of seven hills, that the entire area of Vatican State proper is now confined. " Vatican City is a City State, which has diplomatic and full state to state relations with nations all around the world. Vatican City has a seat as a permanent observer at the United Nations, and if it so wished it could become a full voting member. As a Non-member State Permanent Observer, the Holy See can take part in UN meetings and conferences, and is typically granted full status at these events, including a vote on any question that is put to a vote. There is one reference in Scripture of Peter writing from " Babylon," which was a name sometimes applied to Rome, found in 1 Peter 5:13. The Roman Catholic Church sat on and controlled the Holy Roman Empire for almost 1,000 years in central Europe. This was a combination of church and state. The Holy Roman Empire consisted over the ages of a good number of different nations in central Europe, who spoke different languages like present-day Germany, France, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Liechtenstein and so on. The Roman Catholic Church is deeply, deeply involved in politics, and indeed is in bed with the governments of the world. Additionally there were around 1.1 billion Roman Catholics worldwide in 2008, which is just another proof that the Catholic Church is Mystery Babylon the Great. This is not a little flock.
9. Mystery Babylon is rich. Revelation 17:4 " And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: " The Roman Catholic Church is perhaps the wealthiest institution on earth. The Vatican's treasure of solid gold has been estimated by the United Nations World Magazine to amount to several billion dollars. The Catholic church, once all her assets have been put together, is the most formidable stockbroker in the world. The Roman Catholic church is likely the biggest financial power and property owner in existence, but naturally much of this wealth is in real estate, which is not liquid - so in that sense they may be capital rich, but cash poor regarding real estate. It is quite likely that the Roman Catholic Church is the greatest possessor of material riches on earth - greater than any other single institution, corporation, bank, giant trust, government or state. This sure fits in with the prophecy concerning Mystery Babylon and her riches.
10. She herself is drunk, which is symbolic of being confused. She has and will persecute God's servants and even has and will kill some of them. No doubt thinking in her confusion that they are heretics. Revelation 17:6 " And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. " The Roman Catholic Church is drunk, which symbolizes confusion. She believes in her confusion that she is the only true church on earth, and therefore has severely persecuted those Christians in the past who did not follow the Roman Catholic Church. She has and will again in the future persecute God's true church, and God's true servants - believing in her confusion they are heretics. The Inquisition comes to mind.
11. She has confused the inhabitants of the earth with her false teachings. Revelation 17:2 " " With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. " Provided for you is just a partial list of the false doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church: 1. False doctrine of the Trinity.2. False doctrine - Immortality of the soul. 3. False doctrine - The Doctrine of Sacred Tradition. 4. False doctrine - Doctrine of the Magisterium and infallibility of the Pope and Catholic Church in regards to doctrine. 5. False doctrine - Only the Catholic Church can understand and interpret scripture infallibly. 6. False doctrine - Adding the Apocryphal books to the Bible, which God did not make part of the Bible. 7. False doctrine - The claim that the Catholic Church is the only true church. 8. False doctrine - That Mary is in heaven. 9. False doctrine - Praying to Mary. 10. False doctrine - Doctrine of Immaculate Conception. 11. False doctrine - Mary had no other children except Christ. 12. False doctrine - Mary is the Mother of the Church. 13. False doctrine - Mary is forever virgin. 14. False doctrine - Mary never sinned. 15. False doctrine - Mary is the spouse of the Holy Spirit. 16. False doctrine - Belief in purgatory. 17. False teaching that we go to heaven or hell when we die. 18. False doctrine - Indulgences 19. False doctrine - Reciting or chanting the same prayer over and over. 20. False doctrine - requiring catholic priests and nuns to wear a certain kind of clothes. 21. Making long prayers in public. 22. False doctrine - Baptizing children, and sprinkling rather than complete emergence in water during baptism. 23. False doctrine - Penance or confession - confessing sins to a Catholic Priest, who then takes the place of Jesus as the Mediator between God and man. False doctrine that a catholic priest here on earth has the authority to forgive sins. 24. False doctrine that Christ was never married. 25. False doctrine - Observing Sunday as the weekly Sabbath, instead of on the seventh day - Saturday. 26. False doctrine - The Catholic Church as an ecclesiastical organization getting involved in politics, and where Vatican City have diplomatic relations with governments throughout the earth. 27. Improper name - the true church is called the Church of God. 28. False doctrine - Observance of various Catholic Holy Days, which are not Biblical in origins, like Easter, Christmas, Lent, All Saints Day, etc. Failure to observe the true annual Holy Days of God explained to us in Leviticus 23. 29. False doctrine - That the chief sin is pride. 30. False doctrine - Requiring priests and nuns to be celibate. 31. False doctrine - Calling the Catholic Priest Father. 32. False doctrine - Worshipping images and idols. Bowing before images - like images of Christ. This violates the second of the Ten Commandments. 33. False doctrine - That the Pope is the head of the church, and a successor of Peter, and the false doctrine that Christ made Peter the head of the church. 34. False doctrine that Peter was the first Pope. 35. Falsehood that the Pope is the spiritual head of all Christians. The simple truth is that Jesus Christ is the spiritual head of all Christians. Who gave the Catholic Pope the right to replace Christ as the head of the true Church of God ? 36. False doctrine where the Pope is called the Holy Father - since that name only belongs to God the Father. It is a sin to call the Pope the Holy Father, since only God is our Holy Father. 37. False doctrine that when the Pope speaks ex cathedra then he cannot make mistakes. 38. False doctrine that the Pope has power and authority to create saints. 39. False doctrine that the Catholic mass or communion has replaced the yearly Passover ceremony. 40. False doctrine that a Catholic Priest, or Catholic Bishop has the power to forgive sins. This goes against the very clear Biblical teaching that Christ is the Mediator of the New Covenant, and Christ is our High Priest in heaven. Catholic Priests have absolutely no authority to replace Christ as our Priest.
There are quite a few more false doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church, but I do not have the time to list them all for you. An attempt will be made over time to list as many false doctrines of the Roman Catholic Church as possible, but I cannot promise when and how thorough this will be. Forty false teaching should be plenty for you to digest for now.
12. She will be in control of this Beast power that will arise in the last days just prior to Christ's return (Rev.17:3). This combination of ten nations will make war against Christ, when He returns (Rev.19:19-21).This Beast power existed before, but died (Rev.17:8). It will arise just once more on earth, but will go into perdition, which means eternal destruction. This woman will work through the Beast to force people to accept the mark of the beast (Rev.13:16). The Roman Catholic Church is working for the unification of all professing Christianity, under the leadership of the Catholic Church. They also want to unite all the various religions under the banner of the Catholic Church. They will work with the Beast to set up a world government just prior to Christ's return.

A great world ruling empire is to emerge - referred to in the Bible as the Beast. It will control the world for 3 ½ years. The Mark of the Beast will be forced on most of mankind. God's true church must be taken to a place of safety. Great events foreshadowing the return of Christ will begin coming to pass. Jesus Christ will prepare the way for His return. We are presently (in 2010) living in the Last Days (Daniel 12:4). The next great event on God's Schedule is the Return of Jesus Christ to this earth to set up His world ruling Kingdom - the Kingdom of God. The time frame is explained in an essay called Signs of Christ's Return. Generally speaking we are looking at probably somewhere between 2040 to 2070 (but this cannot be guaranteed), as to the timing of the return of Christ to rule this world. There are all kinds of clear and powerful proofs that God exists. This writer has already clearly debunked, and destroyed the credibility of the Theory of Evolution. Revived Holy Roman Empire Revelation 13:1-2 " And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. " Specifically we are dealing with the final resurrection of the Holy Roman Empire. The Holy Roman Empire existed for around 1,000 years in Central Europe, but it died. Prophecy says it will rise up again, but will go into perdition. " This prophecy is for our time today. The Beast was, and is not - yet is. This means that the Holy Roman Empire used to exist (for about 1,000 years in Central Europe), but it no longer exists. It died in Central Europe, and went into the grave - which the bottomless pit symbolizes. It will come up out of the bottomless pit, out of the grave. It will be revived for a brief 3 ½ year period, but will go into perdition - which means eternal destruction. This beast power will be controlled by Mystery Babylon the Great. This almost certainly will be a combination of church and state. MYSTERY BABYLON THE GREAT THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH (Revelation 17:5), is none other than the Roman Catholic Church. I take no joy, or pleasure in stating this. I wish it wasn't true, but I would be extremely dishonest, if I did not tell it like it really is. Some of the nicest people you will meet are Catholics. Yet the Catholic Church as an ecclesiastical organization is full of false doctrines, and the hierarchy is deeply involved in politics. I had nothing against the former Pope John Paul II as a person, and the same thing applies to the current Pope Benedict XVI. However, as an ecclesiastical organization - the church should concentrate on the things of the spirit. Nothing is stopping individual members of the church from holding office in the governments of this world. Problems arise when your church gets involved in politics and government with the specific intent of forcing their religion on people through the power of the state. It is the combination of church and state that is so very serious and dangerous, and this has been the history of the Roman Catholic Church, and the Holy Roman Empire. If people within the confines of the Holy Roman Empire did not go along with the dictates of the Roman Catholic hierarchy then the church authorities could work through the government to force them to go along. If they were labeled as a heretic, and refused to recant, the church authorities could work through the government to have them severely punished or even burnt at the stake. Thus many of God's true servants have been persecuted, and even put to death. It will happen again, except on a much greater scale.
The Beast Rises Out of Central Europe This future world ruling system is already beginning to emerge in central Europe. It started with the European Common Market, and now many other barriers are being torn down. There is now a common currency - the Euro. There are plans in place to forge a common Europa Constitution. There is a European Parliament. " European Union (EU), name given since the ratification (Nov., 1993) of the Treaty of European Union, or Maastricht Treaty, to the European Community (EC), an economic and political confederation of European nations, and other organizations (same member nations) that are responsible for a common foreign and security policy and for cooperation on justice and home affairs. Fifteen countries : Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and Sweden : are full members of the organizations of the EU." Eventually this European Union will give birth to the Beast, which will be a grouping of ten nations, and which will be a combination of church and state, and which will be ruled over by a very powerful Emperor, or President. This union will be controlled by Mystery Babylon. We do not really know for sure which ten nations in Europe will make up this Holy Roman Empire, however Germany will almost certainly be the major player in this revived Holy Roman Empire. Revelation 17:3 " So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman (this is Mystery Babylon) sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. " Revelation 17:12-13 " And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. " Daniel 2:40-43 " And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay. "
The Man Who Will Claim to be God There will be one man who will be the top leader, or Emperor. This man will be controlled by Satan the Devil, and will claim to be God. Daniel 11:36-37 " And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. " 2 Thessalonians 2:3-9 " Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, "
This man will be supported by a great religious leader, who will encourage people to worship this man, and worship his image (or perhaps an image or symbol of the Holy Roman Empire). This religious leader will almost certainly be the leader of Mystery Babylon, since Mystery Babylon in Revelation is seen sitting on, or controlling the Beast. This means Mystery Babylon is the one in control of the Beast. Sop this man will almost certainly be the Catholic Pope. Revelation 13:11-12 " And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. " Revelation 13: 13-15 " And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. "
The Image of the Beast This image or statue will be placed in the rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem. Probably right in the Holy of Holies. It appears almost certain that this image will be of this man or Emperor - who will claim to be God, but there may be a slight chance it could perhaps be something like the flag, or emblem of the Holy Roman Empire. This image will speak (probably as the result of sophisticated robotics in my judgment) and say that if anyone did not worship the image they are to be killed. Daniel 12:11 " And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. " Matthew 24:15-22 " When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains. Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. " Revelation 13:14-15 " ..............................saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. "
Jerusalem Made into the Headquarters of the Beast Jerusalem will eventually be the world headquarters for this Beast (Daniel 11:40-45 note verses 41 and 45.) The Jewish state called Israel in Palestine will be conquered by the Beast and scattered all around the world. One third of the population will die in the siege, and one third will die in the war, and the other one third will be scattered to the ends of the earth (Ezekiel 5:1-17). God will use the Beast to punish severely Israel in Palestine, because their sins will be greatly increased. Daniel 11:41 " He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. " Daniel 11:45 " And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him. "
Mark of the Beast This world government will try and force people all around the world to take the Mark of the Beast. Revelation 13:16-17 " And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. " This Mark of the Beast can only be understood in the last days today. Computers have only been invented recently. You won't be able to buy, or sell or get a job unless you have the Mark of the Beast. This is simply a numbering system put out by this world government, controlled by the Beast. People will be given their identification number, and it will be something like a debit card. You won't need cash. Money will be automatically credited and debited from your account by computer when you present your card at the store, or when you get paid for work you have done. An educated guess is that people will be issued a card, but perhaps this may involve the implantation of a microchip under the skin of the hand. As well perhaps it could be using a scanner to identify persons through the cornea of their eye. Or perhaps it will involve some entirely new sophisticated system. Whatever way it is done the whole system would be impossible without computers. The computer is only a recent invention !! How amazingly accurate Bible prophecy is. This may simply be a sincere effort by the authorities to protect people, and to prevent crime, and to streamline the exchange of money and goods and services. Additionally the system could be programmed to allow for the difference in the exchange rate between countries. If a person were for example a United States tourist in France, they could just present their card and the computer would automatically take into account the difference in the exchange rate between currencies, and automatically debit their account and credit the French business in their own currency. It would certainly streamline matters, but such a system is deadly in the hands of irresponsible power hungry men. It will be Satan's tool to control and destroy people. The serious problem is that this system of numbering will be used to control people's lives. When people take the Mark of the Beast this will show God that they are going along with this evil system. There are very serious consequences to taking the Mark of the Beast and worshipping the image of the Beast, and worshipping the Beast. Very, very serious consequences. Revelation 14:9-11 " And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. " This does not refer to these people suffering forever in hell fire. It means they will be burnt up. This apparently will be an unpardonable sin. This is extremely serious business here. Can you show me a Bible prophecy that has failed in the past ? There are none ! So we can have 100% confidence that the prophecies for the future - in these last days will come to pass. God knows much of the future. God knows that most people in the last days will follow this Beast and will accept the Mark of the Beast and will just go along with the worship of this mere man. God will allow this to come to pass to test mankind, and see clearly who is willing to follow the truth, and who will follow lies. It is a great testing period. God wants to see who is worthy to go on and live into the new age - the Millennium, which will be a time of worldwide peace, joy and prosperity. So God will test mankind to see who would rather worship a mere man, instead of worshipping alone the Great Living God. As well God will have sent the Two Witnesses to preach the gospel to the whole world as a witness. People will be warned about the dangerous spiritual consequences of worshipping this man, and of worshipping the statue and of taking the Mark of the Beast. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 " And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. "
Philadelphia Era of God's True Church Taken to a Place of Safety The Philadelphia era of God's true church will be taken to a place of safety in the wilderness. She will be protected from Satan and the world government, and won't take the Mark of the Beast. This is a specific promise made by God to the Philadelphia era of God's true church. Revelation 3:7 " And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write;................." Revelation 3:10 " Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. " Revelation 12:13-17 " And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. " This is a place of safety for the Philadelphia era of God's true church. A place will be prepared for them. This is a place here on earth. It will be in the wilderness. Why the wilderness ? Because the church won't take the Mark of the Beast, and so they won't be able to survive comfortably and safely within the jurisdiction of the world government. They would be killed otherwise. Where is the place of safety ? Your guess is probably as good as mine. Notice there is a very interesting twist to this prophecy regarding the church. Satan tries feverishly to do away with his enemy - the true church. He wants them killed. Revelation 12:15 " And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood." A flood doesn't refer to a literal flood of water. It is symbolic of something. My own educated guess is that Satan will stir up warfare, or some kind of similar persecution or unrest, in an attempt to get the church killed off. However, God will have nothing to do with it, and will protect the Philadelphia era of God's true church from the persecutions of Satan. Revelation 12:16 " And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. " The Bible gives no specifics as to how exactly the earth will help the woman, and swallow up the flood. One speculation could be that a friendly armed forces will fight off the invading armies perhaps. Bible prophecy indicates that the great religious leader will try to get everyone in the world to take the Mark of the Beast, and be part of the world government (the overwhelming vast majority however will probably be a part of it - but not everyone). The true church certainly won't be part of it. There will be individuals throughout the world who will resist. There will probably be millions who will refuse to go along - all around the world, and they most likely will be hounded, and perhaps jailed or killed. This will be a time of great tribulation. This will also be a time of the martyrdom of many Christians (Revelation 6:9-11). However, the small Philadelphia Era of God's true church is promised a place of safety during the great tribulation (Revelation 3:10). They will not suffer martyrdom, except for the Two Witnesses (Revelation 11:7-12).
Few of Mankind Left Alive When God is finished dealing with this wicked world, there will be comparatively few people left alive on earth. Isaiah 13:9-12 " Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it. For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible. I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. " The consequences of individuals taking the Mark of the Beast is eternal destruction !! This is serious business. This is no joking matter. People will be as scarce as gold. Gold in a rare precious metal. It is hard to find. So also when God is finished dealing with His wicked enemies - there will not be many people left here on earth. God will then use those meek and respectful humans, who God spared to repopulate the earth. The meek shall inherit the earth. The Philadelphia era of God's true church will be protected in the wilderness. They will escape God's wrath. A good number of these will be resurrected into God's Kingdom at the return of Christ. However, there will be the children of these people. They will live on into the new age, and grow in a new world order where there will be opportunities and space galore. They will live on into a new world of joy, peace, prosperity, and a world where nature will be everywhere in abundance. The deserts shall bloom. God's curse upon the labour of mankind will be removed. No longer will the ground be cursed. Instead there will be an abundance of blessings. In Christ's Kingdom - the nation of Israel in Palestine will colonize the world. The Temple in Jerusalem must be rebuilt. God will build the Temple, but He will do it through human instruments. Worship ceremonies will be restored in the Temple. There will be a regular daily sacrifice, since most Jews still practice Judaism. There isn't really that much time left of man's misrule here on earth. Soon the governments of this world will be overthrown by the returning Messiah. It is time for the work of preparing the way for the return of Jesus Christ to begin.
The Dawning of A New Age All this news may seem a bit depressing. So I want to leave you with some words of encouragement from the Bible regarding the blessings that will come upon the earth in Christ's glorious Kingdom. It won't be long before these blessings will be poured out upon the earth by the Messiah. Isaiah 43:19-21 " Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen. This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. "
Isaiah 51:3 " For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody. "
Micah 4:1-7 " But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. " And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. " And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. " Isaiah 9:6-7 " For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. "
India plans to issue its citizens with biometric ID cards What the Indian government is doing scares the hell out of this here writer. " India’s legions of local bureaucrats currently issue at least 20 proofs of identity, including birth certificates, driving licenses and ration cards. None is accepted universally and moving from one state to the next can easily render a citizen officially invisible — a disastrous predicament for the millions of poor who rely on state handouts to survive. system for the 1.2 billion people of India. The Mark of The Beast is Surely Coming - It is Just a Question of When The march of technology is relentless. You cannot un-invent technology. In the not too distant future the whole world will be wired and connected - but it will still take some time. There are places like India and Africa and other less developed parts of the world, where it will still take a good while yet to get the citizens to have their unique ID Card connected to computer databases. The project in India to give all citizens cyber-age biometric identity cards has an ambitious time schedule. My hunch is that their time frame targets are unrealistic, and it will take much, much longer to get all Indians their personal ID card, but it is going ahead. They may not eventually be able to get absolutely everybody registered, but probably almost all will eventually be - give them 15-20 years. It is a similar story in places like Africa, but once again it is not a matter of " if " almost all people on earth will have their own ID Card - connected to computer databases, but " when " it will happen. This writers guess is that almost all of the world will be wired and connected by around 2040-2050 or so. It takes time. No doubt they won't be able to get everyone to take a number, since I anticipate a good deal of resistance from certain places. These things are just paving the way and preparing the world for the Mark of the Beast, where you won't be able to buy or sell without the number issued to you by the world government, which will be controlled by The Beast. The Beast is a revived Holy Roman Empire in Central Europe, which will create and control one World Government for 3 ½ years. All those taking the Mark of the Beast will be destroyed by Christ when He returns to set up the Kingdom of God. The Spin Will Sound Good - But the Real Motive is Power and Control Governments and probably big business will give you the spin and propaganda of all the benefits of one universal ID card. You know - better service, better security, more assured access to government programs and services, cost benefits, better control over immigration, illegal activities, etc, etc. You see it already in India. What they don't tell you is how this whole system is making individuals less free and more vulnerable to be controlled by government. The real motive behind all this in this here writers humble opinion is power and control. God will allow Satan the Devil to set up his cherished one world system for 3 ½ years, and Satan will work through his human instruments to force the Mark of the Beast upon much of mankind. God will allow all this to happen. It is going to be a great time of testing - where God will test and try mankind to see if they are willing to go along with lies and go along with the worship of the Beast, and go along with taking the Mark of the Beast. God wants to test mankind to see who is worthy to live on into the new age - the Kingdom of God in the Millennium - a time of universal peace, joy and prosperity. Christ will purge out the rebels. God will make sure the world is warned about the terrible consequences of taking the Mark of the Beast, and worshipping the image of the Beast. God will use the Two Witnesses to preach the Gospel to the whole world during this time, and mankind will be warned about the deadly and seriously consequences of taking the Mark of the Beast. This new numbering system in India is not the Mark of the Beast, but it is just another step on the way towards one universal numbering system. Hopefully there will a few jurisdictions who will actively resist this world government by the Beast, and who will not go along with it. We need to resist this as long as we can here in Canada and in the province of Alberta where I live. I will do everything in my power to see that we here in Western Canada never go along with this evil system, but I am not a spring chicken, and these things are still quite a ways off. I may not be around during that time, but who knows. If God is willing we will be able to resist, as long as we have enough freedom loving people still alive here during those times. Computers are fine, but we need to be in control of them, not allow them to control us, because if we do that we are just opening up ourselves to being dominated and controlled by power thirsty and unscrupulous governments, like the Beast, and like the one behind The Beast - none other than Satan the Devil - who would like to see all of mankind destroyed spiritually.
