False Gods - myth that you can worship God (as explained in the Bible) and idols at the same time. Myth that Christ doesn't mind if you share your worship of Him with idols, false gods and images.

With many Churches today we have promoted the  " inclusive "  Jesus.  This " inclusive " Jesus loves everyone, so, so very much - just the way they are. This sort of Jesus doesn't expect anything much from us, why we don't even have to believe in Him too much. This " inclusive "  Jesus died for everybody, and wants everyone to go to heaven - even pets. 

There seems to be about as many versions of Jesus as there are various conflicting denominations of professing Christianity. There are also the versions of Jesus promoted by all various other religions like Islam for example.

I am here to tell you the truth.  I am here to tell you about the real Jesus. How long will people keep misrepresenting Jesus ?  How long will too many keep twisting His words, and claiming they know Him - when they never have ?  The Jesus so very, very many of these various churches and denominations preach about and teach about is a false Christ -  a Jesus they have invented and can change and control - a false God. The real Jesus is not someone we can control. I know the real Jesus. If I were to say I didn't then I would be lying. 

The real Jesus is the Word, the Creator - the God of the Old Testament. 

John 1:1-3   " In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. "

John 1:14  " And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. "

The real Jesus was alive forever, and dealt with and conversed with people like Moses and Abraham.

John 8:53-58  " Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I Am. "

The real Jesus will not put up with us worshipping idols and Him at the same time. The real Jesus was the one who thundered the Ten Commandments to the children of Israel from Mt. Sanai. 

1 Corinthians 19:1-4  " Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. "

The real Jesus was the Word, the Creator, who willingly humbled Himself and came to this earth as the human being Jesus Christ, so He could carry out God's will and die for our sins.

Philippians 2:5-11  "  Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:  Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:  But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:  That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. "

The real Jesus came from heaven, and returned to the heavens again. The real Jesus was not of this world. 

John 8:23   " And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world. "

The real Jesus is not some weak, suffering, long haired effeminate man - which the images and idols claim. The real Jesus commands us not to worship idols, or bow down before images.

Exodus 20:1-6      " And God spake all these words, saying,  I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. "

 The real Jesus is alive for ever more, and John was given a vision of how He looks right now.

Revelation 1:10-18  "  I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last:..................  And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;  And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.  His head and His hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and His eyes were as a flame of fire; And His feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and His voice as the sound of many waters.  And He had in His right hand seven stars: and out of His mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and His countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.  And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. And he laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:  I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. "

This is how the real Jesus looks today. 

The real Jesus expects, and demands we put Him first in our lives, because He is God too, just like God the Father is God. Jesus is part of the Godhead.

Matthew 10:37-39   "  He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.  He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. "

The real Jesus will not share our affections with idols.

2 Corinthians 6:14-17   "  Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?  And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?  And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.  Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, "

1 Corinthians 3:16-17  "  Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?  If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. "

Revelation 9:20-21  " And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. "

The real Jesus will not share our affections with foolish, lifeless images and idols. 

1 Corinthians 10:20-21   " But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. "

Simply put ladies and gentlemen - Jesus Christ demands we put away our idols and images. He expects and commands we put Him first in our lives, because He is part of the Godhead along with God the Father.

If you want to be a follower of the true God then you must put away your false gods and idolatry. God is a jealous God, who simply will not share our affections with idols. He will not change to please us. We must change to please Him. 

This article is being specifically directed towards those who already believe and know God exists, and to those whose faith is weak.

The hope is to strengthen those who feel there may be a God, but who have been made to doubt by all the evolutionary propaganda, and the unbelievers in mainstream professing Christianity. I myself am totally, 100% convinced that God the Father and Jesus Christ exist, and the Bible is the inspired word of God. There isn't a single doubt in my mind. I know God and Christ exist, because I've proven it to myself thoroughly. And this is really important - you must prove it to yourself. Nobody can walk that road for you.

This article is not specifically directed towards atheists, rebels and other unbelievers. Why ? Because it seems pointless. If these people were to acknowledge there is a God then they would have to come to terms with whether they will obey this God or not. So the convenient out for them is to ridicule the Bible, and scoff at God. They seem unwilling to face reality. So that is fine. Let them remain smug in their delusions.

There are so many proofs that God exists and the Bible is His inspired word, that it is hard to know where to begin. So we shall deal with some of the more major proofs, because it would take up all the space on my web pages to give all the myriad of proofs.

1. One of the most basic proofs is that life can only come from life. God has life within Himself and He passes on that life to His creation. Evolutionary theory says that life evolved from non life. This is unscientific. Please click here for more details.

2. Another major proof is that a creation demands a Creator. Evolution theory teaches that matter was not created, but that it was just there, like magic. Evolution theory speculates that there was this huge ball, that suddenly blew up thus creating the universe. But oops - they can't explain where the big ball came from !!! They have no explanation where matter came from, except to suggest there are some sort of particles, or non particles or some things, which can just magically cause matter to pop into existence, randomly from absolutely nothing !!! You and I are creations of God. 200 years ago we did not exist. If you have children you are very aware of this creative process. Perhaps ten or more years ago you were alone, but now there are these children with you. They did not exist before. So what are they ? They are the work of the Creator.

Am always shocked out of my socks, when encountering a mature human being, who claims that life was not created, but evolved from non life. Yet there they stand - one of the most complicated and most sophisticated of God's creations. A mature, thinking, working, breathing human being is one of the most amazing creations. Our bodies are astonishingly complex, and amazingly engineered. The human hand is an incredible feat of engineering. The human mind is so complex that science has hardly begun to even figure it out.

If you were to go to an air show you will see some of the most complex and sophisticated machines made by man. Yet if you were to suggest one of these modern jet aircraft just sort of put themselves together randomly - people would consider you nuts. Yet a human being is far, far, far more complex than a jet plane. So have the true believer atheists and evolutionists lost their marbles ?

3. Another proof of God's existence is that laws require a Law Giver. When we observe the natural world we see order, and natural law. For example when water freezes it expands. It can evaporate into a gas. It can be a liquid we drink. It is amazing stuff. Scientists can count on water reacting a certain way, because of natural laws that exist.

Evolutionary theory can't explain how the world and universe became so orderly all on its own and randomly. Randomness, and chaos does not an orderly universe make.

God not only created matter, the universe and life, but He also sustains it and keeps it going. He created the natural laws of the universe, sustains them and thus creates order.

4. Another proof relates to the previous two proofs - a design requires a Designer. If you observe nature (which is God's creation) one cannot help but be astonished and impressed by the amazing design and complexity. When we observe God's handicraft closely it becomes more and more complex. Looking under a microscope reveals amazing design and complexity. And it goes even further than the microscope to include atoms, which we cannot see.

God uses pattern and design to great effect. God is the genius designer and architect. He is a creative genius unequaled. God uses symmetry extensively. We have a left and right side that are very similar, as do most animals.

5. One enormous proof of God's existence is fulfilled prophecy in the Bible. The God of the Bible claims to know much of the future, and has the audacity, and boldness to make numerous prophecies in His book the Bible. Who else can predict with amazing accuracy future events ?

I am issuing a challenge to all skeptics, agnostics and atheists. Show me a single prophecy in the Bible that has yet to fail. Naturally there are many prophecies that are still for the future, so obviously they can't be kept yet. Also there are caveats attached to some prophecies, like for example the promise that God would make ancient Israel into the greatest nation on earth and bless them. God predicted He would do this, if Israel would obey the covenant He made with them. They never kept their part of the agreement, so God didn't have to deliver on the promise, because of their disobedience. And please don't take scriptures out of context, and then claim these are unfulfilled prophecies. I expect honesty, not foolish word games and semantics. And there are many prophecies that are so complex and interwoven that we won't even understand them until they actually are fulfilled.

A lot of prophecy is also flexible in nature. Then there are dual prophecies. So let's not deal in vain speculations. There are plenty of prophecies that are fairly clear and straightforward. I challenge anyone to show me a single one that has failed so far.

A ) The central figure in Bible prophecy is Jesus Christ. Now there are skeptics and agnostics who don't even accept that Jesus Christ actually existed. They would have you believe that Christ is a mythical character. However, these same skeptics probably have no problems accepting the existence of Mohammed (the founder of Islam), or the Buddha Gotama (the founder of Buddhism), or Vardhamana Mahavira (the founder of modern day Jainism), or Guru Nanak (the founder of Sikhism). If Christ is a mythical character then why not Mohammed and Siddhattha Gotama, Mahavira and Nanak ? What about great teachers like Confucius, and Chuang Tzu ? Are they mythical characters ?

Let's get real people. It is ridiculous and idiotic to say that the human being Jesus Christ never literally existed.

We read in the Bible that without exception the eleven disciples of Christ had to be convinced that Christ had risen from the dead. When Jesus was arrested to be crucified all His disciples fled and forsook him (Mark 14:50). Peter even denied publicly three times that he even knew Christ !!

Mark 16: 9-11 " ......... He (Christ) appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven devils. And she went and told them that had been with Him, as they mourned and wept. And they, when they had heard that He was alive, and had been seen of her, believed not. "

Mark 16:14 " Afterward He appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen Him after He was risen. "

You may be familiar with the account of doubting Thomas, who would not believe Christ was risen " except I shall see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into His side, I will not believe. " Christ appeared unto doubting Thomas and showed the signs of His suffering and crucifixion, in His hands and side.

John 20:28-29 " And Thomas answered and said unto Him, My Lord and my God. Jesus saith unto him Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. "

These people were in Christ's own words " fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken; Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into glory ? "

These very same men who refused to believe Christ was risen, until convinced, ended up dedicating their lives to Christ. History and tradition tells us that all of the eleven, except John, ended up being martyred for their beliefs. They died horrible deaths. Why ? Because they were 100% convinced of their cause, and they knew Christ was alive.

If Christ never existed, and the Bible is just mythology then why would Christ's disciples devote their lives to preaching about His death and resurrection, and even end up laying down their lives ? Or maybe the ignorant unbelievers will try to spin the web of lies that the apostles of Christ never existed neither. Don't put it past them.

Here is a list of the fate of eleven of Christ's disciples. There are some different versions of how these men died, but it is well established that almost all were martyred. The apostle Paul was also put to death.

1. Peter - crucified head down in Rome, during the reign of Nero in 66 A.D.
2. Andrew was crucified on an "X"-shaped cross two ends of which were in the ground.
3. James , son of Zebedee, beheaded in Jerusalem by the sword by King Herod (Acts 12:1-9).
4. John - banished to the Isle of Patmos died a natural death around 96 A.D. (Rev. 1: 9).
5. Phillip - He was severely flogged, imprisoned and reportedly crucified at Heliopolis, in Phrygia around 52 A.D.
6. Bartholomew - beaten, crucified, beheaded around 52 A.D.
7. Thomas - run through by a lance or a spear, some say a five headed spear.
8. Matthew -some say slain by the sword perhaps in a city of Ethiopia about 60 A.D., and others say burned by fire
9. James son of Alphaeus, - thrown from a pinnacle, then beaten to death, 60 A.D.
10. Thaddeus (Jude) crucified, or perhaps shot to death by arrows around 72 A.D.
11. Simon the Zealot was crucified.
12. Matthias He was stoned, then beheaded at Jerusalem.

John The Baptist was beheaded by Herod. (Matthew 14:1-12)

Stephen - generally regarded as the first Christian martyr.

Paul - beheaded, or torn to pieces by wild animals in the arena, during the time of Nero.

It has been estimated that about 2,000 Christians, along with Nicanor, one of the seven deacons (Acts 6:5), also suffered martyrdom during the great persecution that arose after Stephen (Acts 8:1).

Some agnostics and skeptics will try to undermine your faith by claiming there isn't sufficient evidence from independent historians as to the literal existence of Jesus Christ. All we have they will claim as evidence is the New Testament, and this they try to say is pure myth concocted by His followers to perpetuate the myth that Christ was the Messiah.

It is important to remember that Christ lived a very humble life. He came as a human being, to live a sinless life and die for our sins. He was not one of the establishment leaders. He did not have a vast number of followers. He was a carpenter, before He started His ministry. He was just a rather ordinary Jew, who wasn't even attractive physically (Isaiah 53:2). Few people actually believed in Him. After all the great miracles He did, and after His 3 1/2 year ministry, He only had a grand total of 120 disciples, who were gathered together on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 1: 15 , Acts 2:1).

During His ministry Christ said so many amazing things, like " except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you, " that this bewildered many and they left Him.

John 6:66 " From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away ? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go ? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God. "

Even Christ's human family didn't believe in Him !! (John 7:1-10). His friends and kinsmen thought He may be having mental health problems and were actually thinking about putting Him away !! (Mark 4:21). The religious establishment falsely accused Christ of being insane and demon possessed (Mark 4: 22) (John 10:19-21). When Christ claimed to have been alive during the time of Abraham, and to have conversed with Abraham, the Scribes and Pharisees were so incensed that they took up stones to kill Christ (John 9:59).

When Christ went to His home town Nazareth He read the scriptures in the synagogue on the Sabbath and the locals were so full of wrath at His words that they grabbed him and led Him to the cliff on the edge of town to throw Jesus over it (Luke 4:16-30). A very popular man in His home town !

Christ was so persecuted and hounded by the religious establishment in Judea that He had to lay low and avoid Judea for a time, because they were out to arrest Him. The Pharisees sent the police to arrest Jesus, but they could not get Christ, because it wasn't yet time for Him to die for our sins. When Christ publicly said God was His father, and " I and my Father are one " the Jews took up stones to kill Jesus. However, He escaped from them. The four gospels are full of accounts of Christ's escape from the grasp of His enemies, who wanted to get rid of Jesus.

The account of Christ giving sight to the blind man in John 9th Chapter is illustrative of the terrible persecutions Jesus suffered, and the dangers of being one of His disciples. This man was born blind, but Jesus spat on the ground and made some clay then anointed the man's eyes with the clay and told him to go wash in the pool of Siloam. The man did this and received his sight ! An amazing miracle !! Someone reported this to the Pharisees, because this was on the Sabbath day that Christ had made the clay.

The former blind man said he believed Jesus was a prophet. The Pharisees didn't believe the man was born blind, so called in his parents to confirm this. The parents answered cautiously, because the religious leaders had already threatened that if anyone publicly confessed that Christ was the Messiah that person would be kicked out of the synagogue and disfellowshipped. This was very serious business being put out of the synagogue. So people were intimidated into silence. They said he was their son and was born blind, but they didn't know how or who did it. " He is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself, " they said.

The Pharisees couldn't figure out how Christ had healed the man. They began insisting the healed man give praise to God rather than Jesus, who they claimed was a sinner. They kept badgering the poor man. The man got angry and fed up.

John 10: 30-33 " The man answered and said unto them, Why herein is a marvelous thing, that ye know not from whence he is, and yet he hath opened my eyes. Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. If this man were not of God , he could do nothing. "

So they kicked the man out of the church, out of the synagogue.

The point I'm trying to hammer across is that the political and religious establishment were the enemies of Jesus, and were out to do away with him, because of envy and jealousy. People were threatened with being kicked out of the synagogue, if they confessed their belief in Christ publicly. The religious leaders conspired to kill Christ. After Christ's resurrection they tried to cover this up by claiming the disciples came at night to steal Christ's body. They bribed the soldiers to say they were asleep and Christ's disciples snuck in and stole the body.

When Peter and the other apostles began preaching to the public, after Christ's death, resurrection, ascension into heaven, and the giving of the Holy Spirit they were almost immediately hounded and threatened by the religious establishment. Peter and John were arrested and threatened. The leaders commanded them not to preach anymore about Jesus (Acts 14:17-18). Later on the High Priest (full of envy, jealousy and indignation at how God was working through the Apostles and not through him and the Sadducees) had Peter and the Apostles arrested (Acts 5:16-19). The religious leaders were going to have all of the Apostles killed (Acts 5:33 ). Gamaliel intervened and the council let them go, but not before having them beaten and again ordered them not to preach anymore in the name of Jesus (Acts 5:40).

So folks is there little wonder why we hear so very, very little from ancient Jewish, and Roman historians regarding Jesus Christ ? This was a man suppressed and put to death by the religious and political establishment of the day. The Church Christ founded was hounded and persecuted - many of them were put to death. So the political situation made it very difficult for any historian of the time in that area to give a straight forward honest account of Christ. The authorities were out to suppress knowledge of Christ. They did not want this to come out. The governments of the day were brutal dictatorships that had no qualms about arresting people and crucifying them. Crucifixion was not a pleasant way to die. So the people and historians were intimidated into silence. The people in these lands did not have the same freedoms you and I often take for granted here in Canada. They also did not have easy access to the written word, because this was long before the printing press.

However there are some references to Christ by the ancient Jewish Historian Josephus, but the unbelievers have tried to rewrite history and discredit Josephus's account. Let me quote some of his references to Christ.

Antiquities, Book 18, Ch. 3 :

" 3. Now there was about this time Jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man; for he was a doer of wonderful works, a teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure. He drew over to him both many of the Jews and many of the Gentiles. He was [the] Christ. And when Pilate, at the suggestion of the principal men amongst us, had condemned him to the cross, those that loved him at the first did not forsake him; for he appeared to them alive again the third day; as the divine prophets had foretold these and ten thousand other wonderful things concerning him. And the tribe of Christians, so named from him, are not extinct at this day.

" Antiquities 20.9.1 But the younger Ananus who, as we said, received the high priesthood, was of a bold disposition and exceptionally daring; he followed the party of the Sadducees, who are severe in judgment above all the Jews, as we have already shown. As therefore Ananus was of such a disposition, he thought he had now a good opportunity, as Festus was now dead, and Albinus was still on the road; so he assembled a council of judges, and brought before it the brother of Jesus the so-called Christ, whose name was James, together with some others, and having accused them as law-breakers, he delivered them over to be stoned."

So the authorities were out to deliberately suppress the knowledge of Jesus. Is that so surprising ? Governments in our day and age all around the world that are dictatorships, try to suppress the truth. However, today we have the printing press, and computers, so it is more difficult for governments to control information, and suppress the truth. Yet they still do it. How much easier this was 2,000 years ago.

A CHALLENGE TO ALL ATHEISTS, AGNOSTICS & SKEPTICS

Prevent various prophecies for our end times from being fulfilled. If you can do this then you have destroyed the veracity of the Bible and exposed it as a fraud.

1. Prevent the Temple from being rebuilt in Jerusalem. The God of the Bible says in prophecy that it will be rebuilt (Ezekiel chapters 40 to 48). This is absolutely essential. Why? Because this is where the beast - the man who will claim to be God, will set up his image (Matthew 24:15-22) (Daniel 12:11) (Daniel 11:36) (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4) (Revelation 13:14-15).

Matthew 24:6-7 " And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: "

The Bible teaches that a rebellious mankind does not know the way of peace.

Roman 3: 15-17 " Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known. "

Skeptics and unbelievers can completely discredit the Bible by simply bringing lasting peace.

3. Eliminate Famines Man alive here are golden opportunities for you atheists to do good and destroy the credibility of the Bible - all at once. Christ said that one of the signs in the end times of His return will be famines.

Revelation 6:5-6 " And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny ($ 20.00 or three pounds); and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. "

All you need do is eliminate famines from periodically afflicting mankind. Eliminate hunger.

4. Eradicate Pestilences There are opportunities galore for unbelievers to disprove the Bible. So get working on things and defeat the disease plagues that regularly strike mankind. We are currently seeing an aids pestilence especially in black Africa.

Matthew 24:7-8 " For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. "

Revelation 6:8 " And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth."

5. Prevent mankind from creating a world government. This will be a last days revival of the Holy Roman Empire in Europe, and this ten nation grouping will dominate and control a world government for 3 1/2 years just prior to Christ's return

Revelation 17:7-8 " And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. "

Revelation 13:5 " And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. "

Revelation 13:7 " ..and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. "

The Bible says that there will be a world ruling government set up just before the return of Christ - ruled over by the Beast (and the writer feels very strongly this will be a resurrection of the Holy Roman Empire in Central Europe). So all the atheists, skeptics, agnostics and other unbelievers have to do is prevent this world government from being formed. If they can do this then they will have discredited the Bible.

However, those of us who understand current events, and Bible prophecy can see very clearly the seeds being sown right now for this hellish world government.

6. Prevent Mystery Babylon the Great from working to revive the Holy Roman Empire in Central Europe (Revelation 17:1-5). The opportunities never cease for skeptics to disprove the Bible, by preventing prophecies for our end times from being kept.

Revelation 11: 3-4 " And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days (3 ½ years), clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. "

Matthew 24: 14 " And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. "

Zechariah 4: 11-14 " Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof ? And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves ? And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth. "

The Bible boldly prophesies of Two Witnesses being anointed to preach the gospel to the whole world just prior to Christ's return. Here is another glorious opportunity for atheists and unbelievers to destroy the credibility of the Bible. Just prevent these Two Witnesses from preaching the gospel to the whole world. The time frame is somewhere during the world government controlled by the Beast. This is just before Christ returns.

Daniel 11 40-41 " And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown ... "

Ezekiel 39: 23 " And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword. "

The God that the atheists and unbelievers claim doesn't exist knows much of the future. This God in His book the Bible says that most of mankind in the last days will be corrupt. Will opportunities never cease for the unbelievers to tear to shreds the veracity of the Bible ??? All they need do is to vastly decrease the level of corruption around the planet. Bible prophecy says that in general terms mankind isn't interested in following God and His ways. This does not mean there can't or won't be some societies on earth in these last days that won't make some progress in fighting corruption. However, generally speaking the Bible says boldly that things will just get worse and worse up until Christ returns (Romans 1: 17-32). 

2 Timothy 3: 1-5 " This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. "

2 Timothy 3:13 " But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. "

Matthew 24:37 " But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. "

Genesis 6: 5-6 " And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. "

Genesis 6: 11-13 " The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence. And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth. "

10. Stop the advance of technology, so the Beast (which I feel strongly is a revived Holy Roman Empire), won't be able to enforce the Mark of The Beast upon almost all the world.

Revelation 13: 16-17 " And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. "

The God of the Bible (the God you atheists claim doesn't exist) says in Bible prophecy that in these last days just before Jesus Christ's return, there will be a world government formed by mankind (called the Beast in prophecy) that will force people to take a number, or mark. You won't be able to buy or sell without the Mark of the Beast. God knows the future and very obviously could foresee the day when the computer would be invented. This has just come upon the scene in the last few decades. It is very recent technology. God also foresaw that a world government run by man would exploit this technology to control people. These prophecies can only be understood today. We can see them beginning to be fulfilled right before our eyes. Who would have even dreamt 50 years ago of the possibility of computers and debut cards ? Computers will make it possible for a world government to force people all around the world to get a number and hook into a world wide system of computers. Perhaps the rationale will be that a cashless society will be more secure, or something. Anyways it is clearly prophesied that this technology will be abused and used to control people.

So all that the agnostics and unbelievers have to do to completely discredit the Bible is to halt the advance of technology, and thus prevent a world government run by man from using this technology to control people. Stop the advance of computer technology. Folks, you and I know that you can't un-invent technology. The genie is out of the bottle. The world is on a mad march towards one world system. It is unstoppable.

11. Another way for skeptics and cynics to completely destroy the veracity of the Bible, is for them to work it so that the Throne of David, upon which Queen Elizabeth II sits in Britain, would be eliminated.

There are those even in jolly England, who do not support the monarchy. So all you unbelievers and Bible thrashers need do is to drum up popular sentiment against the British Monarchy, and cause the institution to be phased out. You will have then destroyed the credibility of the Bible. How ? Because Bible prophecy says plainly that David's Throne was to be established forever.

2 Samuel 7:16 " And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever. "

2 Samuel 7:25 - 29 "And now, O LORD God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou hast said. And let thy name be magnified for ever, saying, The LORD of hosts is the God over Israel: and let the house of thy servant David be established before thee. For thou, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee. And now, O Lord GOD, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised this goodness unto thy servant: Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord GOD, hast spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever. "

Queen Elizabeth sits on the Throne of David. The Queen recently celebrated her golden jubilee (50 years as Monarch), and she and the monarchy are more popular with the British than ever. They love her. God has no intentions of having that throne die out. He will keep it strong. This is the throne Christ will take over and occupy when He returns. There are very powerful historical proofs that the throne of David was transferred from Judah to another branch of the Royal family that had migrated to the land presently called Ireland, centuries earlier. No God did not allow David's throne to die out. It is a very great, prestigious and powerful throne today.

12. Eliminate the possibility of nuclear war If the unbelievers can do this then they can destroy the entire credibility of the Bible !! Why ? Because Christ spoke of a Great Tribulation that will come to pass just prior to his return, and since the book of Revelation says there will a war where 1/3 of mankind will be killed. Christ must intervene to prevent mankind from committing mass suicide through their nuclear weapons.

Matthew 24:21-22 " For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. "

Revelation 9:17-19 " And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt. "

This is a noble goal for all Christ haters, agnostics, skeptics and others who mock and ridicule the Bible, and who don't believe in God and Christ.

Eliminate the possibility of nuclear war. Eliminate the technology that allows for the production of nuclear weapons. Stop the worldwide proliferation of nuclear weapons. Eliminate the possibility of a deranged mankind being able to destroy all human life through these terrible nuclear weapons. The Bible says you can't do this. In general a rebellious mankind does not know the way of peace, and they are not interested in following God.

Roman 3: 15-17 " Their feet are swift to shed blood: Destruction and misery are in their ways: And the way of peace have they not known. "

13. There are all kinds of ways you unbelievers can tear to shreds the credibility and veracity of the Bible. One way is for you to work together and create a new age where mankind will start loving each other, and where murder and other crimes will be vastly reduced.

If you can do this on your own then you will have disproved the Bible, because the God who the unbelievers claim doesn't exist knows much of the future, and has revealed a great deal of the future to us in His book the Bible. Bible prophecy tells us that (for the most part) mankind here in these last days, before the return of Christ will have corrupted their ways and be full of every kind of wickedness. Not all of mankind will be like this , but this will be the general situation in the world.

2 Timothy 3:1-7 " This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. "

2 Timothy 3:13 " But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. "

14. It is unreal how many opportunities you atheists, skeptics and Bible haters have to disprove and discredit the Bible. Another golden opportunity is for you to prevent the Philadelphia era of God's true church from being taken to a place of safety in the wilderness, where they will be protected for 3 ½ years from the world government.

The Bible boldly predicts that the Philadelphia Era of God's true church will be protected in the wilderness for 1,260 days, or 3 ½ years from Satan the devil and the world government.

Revelation 3:10 " Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. "

Revelation 12:13-16 " And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. "

15. Another way for unbelievers to destroy the credibility of the Bible is to prevent Mystery Babylon the Great the Mother of Prostitutes from being destroyed. The God you claim is a figment of the imagination boldly predicts in His book the Bible that Mystery Babylon will be burnt by fire sometimes just after, or during the time of the world government.

Revelation 17:16 " And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. "

16. There are seemingly endless opportunities for Bible thrashers to rip to pieces the legitimacy of the Bible. Another way to do it has to do with modern day Egypt, prior to the return of Christ.

Ancient Egypt was one of the greatest nations on earth of the time. It was a centre of civilization, very wealthy and even ruled an Empire. Egypt dominated that part of the world for ages.

However, the God of the Bible is the one who makes nations great, and He is the one who diminishes nations. God is the one who builds up and tears down nations. And His decree concerning Egypt cannot be defied. Modern Egyptian rulers have struggled with Egyptian poverty. They have not been able to pull Egypt out of its poverty. Why ? Because God had made ancient Egypt great for thousands of years. But then God decided to reverse this and make Egypt into one of the basest of nations. And God will still deal with Egypt more in the last days. However, until the return of Christ, God in His book says that Egypt will remain poor, and weak.

Ezekiel 29:14-15 " And I will bring again the captivity of Egypt, and will cause them to return into the land of Pathros, into the land of their habitation; and they shall be there a base kingdom. It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations: for I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations. "

God in His word the Bible predicts there will be this world government in the last days controlled by the Beast. The human ruler, or Emperor of the ten nation empire in central Europe will claim to be God, and sit in the rebuilt temple claiming to be God ! All of you Bible haters can join together and unite politically, and then work to prevent this from happening. If you can do this then you will have destroyed the whole credibility of the Bible and the one in the Bible who says He is God. So go ahead and try it.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 " Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. "

Daniel 11: 36-37 " And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. "

18. Prevent the Abomination of Desolation from being set up in the Temple by this world government, and prevent these people from trying to force the whole world to worship this statue, or image of the Beast. If you atheists and other Bible bashers can do this then you will have shown the Bible to be a farce. So go ahead and stop this from happening. The God of the Bible, who you refuse to even acknowledge says you cannot do it.

Revelation 13:14-15 " And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. "

Matthew 24:15 " When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) "

Matthew 24:21 " For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. "

Daniel 12:11 " And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. "

Revelation 3: 7-8 " And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. "

Revelation 14: 14-17 " And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: "

Fat chance you can do this. There is simple too much spiritual conceit and apathy around for you to do this.

21. Another challenge to true unbelievers. Create a world on your own(through mankind's own efforts) where there will be plenty for all - where no one need go hungry. If you can do this you will have disproved the Bible.

Now you atheists, agnostics, skeptics, true unbelievers, Bible thrashers, God haters, and mockers have very powerful allies. The United Nations wants to eliminate poverty. So throw your full support behind them and eliminate poverty, and hunger. Go to it. Go for it. Get working on it. This is a wonderful goal.

Matthew 24: 3-8 " And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the age? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. "

Revelation 6:5-6 " And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny(a loaf of bread for $20.00, or three pounds of barley flour), and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. "

Of course I realize it can't be done by mankind, because mankind in general is simply too sinful and corrupt to do this. However, when Jesus Christ returns, He will do away with famines and hunger.

Revelation 6:14-17 " And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand. "

God the Father - false doctrine that God the Father was the God of the Old Testament.

The Bible teaches that Christ never sinned. The Bible teaches that it is a sin to lie. If God the Father was the God of the Old Testament, who revealed Himself to Israel, and who spoke face to face to Moses - then Jesus Christ is a liar. Christ is no liar. 

John 5:37   " And the Father Himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape. "

These are the very words of Jesus Christ.

1 John 4:12   "  No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us. "

John 1:18   "   No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared Him. "

The scriptures are very plain here. However, some might mention some scriptures that appear to contradict this. Let us list and refute some of these now.

Mathew 3:16-17    "  And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:  And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. "

Whose voice was this ? Many assume this was the voice of God the Father, since the voice said  " this is my beloved son."   Now remember that Christ taught plainly that no man (except Christ of course - who was part human, and God in the flesh) has ever seen God the Father's shape or heard His voice. 

The explanation should be very simple. God the Father sent one of His Angels to deliver a message from Him. The message was from God the Father, but it wasn't delivered directly by God the Father, but by one of His servants - and this almost certainly was one of the Angels - perhaps Gabriel, or Michael. 

John 12:28-30   "  Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.  The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him. Jesus answered and said, This voice came not because of me, but for your sakes. "

Once again this is a message being delivered by an Angelic being. Just because the voice used the personal pronoun " I "  doesn't automatically mean it was God the Father's voice they heard. 

The Word Was the God of the Old Testament

The God who humbled Himself and came to this earth in the form of the human being Jesus Christ, was the one who revealed Himself to Israel, and who spoke face to face with prophets like Moses and His servant Abraham. 

John 1: 1-5   " In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  The same was in the beginning with God.  All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.  In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. "

John 1: 9-14   "  That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.  He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not.  But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father), full of grace and truth. "

The Word was with God, and the Word was God. This may sound perplexing, but it isn't. The Godhead consists of two Gods. When the Word was born as the human being Jesus Christ - then the other member of the Godhead became God the Father. Before that He wasn't God the Father - the family relationship began when the Word came to earth as God in the flesh. 

The Gods are creating a family, and they are doing it through Jesus Christ. We can be born into that family as children of God. 

Hebrews 1:8-12  " But unto the Son He saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.  Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.  And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment;  And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. "

It was the Word (the one who was born as the human being Jesus Christ) who appeared to the prophets, and who thundered the Ten Commandments to the children of Israel, from Mt. Sinai. 

1 Corinthians 10:1-4   "   Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;  And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;  And did all eat the same spiritual meat;  And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. " 

Exodus 20:18-23   "   And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.  And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.  And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.  And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.  And the LORD said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven. "

Jesus Christ claimed to have been alive during the time of Abraham, and actually claimed to have conversed with Abraham. Abraham lived about 2,000 years before the time of Christ. 

John 8: 53 -59  "  Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:  Yet ye have not known Him; but I know Him: and if I should say, I know Him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know Him, and keep His saying.  Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?  Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. "

Exodus 33:11   "  And the LORD spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. "

It should be quite clear from the scriptures. God the Word was the God of the Old Covenant. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us as the human being Jesus Christ. 

Many people don't like to hear this. They have this image of Jesus, which is a false image, and a false Christ. The effeminate, long haired hippie looking white man, is the false image they convey of Jesus. The false image of a homeless vagabond, who did away with His Father's mean old laws. 

It is time we started having a more realistic image of Christ. 

Revelation 1:10- 11   "  I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet, Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: .......... 

Revelation 1: 12-18   " And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; 

" And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.

"  His head and His hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and His eyes were as a flame of fire; 

"And His feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and His voice as the sound of many waters. 

" And He had in his right hand seven stars: and out of His mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and His countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

" And when I saw Him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid His right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:  

" I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. "

The Gospel  -  the falsehood that the Gospel has been preached to the whole world as a witness already. However, in reality the Two Witnesses will preach the gospel to the whole world, just prior to Christ's return.

It is important when studying the Bible to not take one particular scripture out of context. Look at the whole picture. There are all kinds of groups, who claim to have already preached the gospel to the whole world, so in their opinion the end could come at almost any time. It is presumptuous in the extreme to think that God must return - when our little group thinks it is the right time. 

What needs to be done instead is for us to study the various prophecies carefully, and then see how that fits in with current events in the real world. Then we can have a more accurate, educated guess as to how near or far we are from the return of Jesus Christ.

Now one of the clear signs Christ gave of His return was that the gospel would be preached to the whole world, as a witness, and then the end was to come.

Matthew 24:14  "  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. "

Once again it is important not to take one specific scripture out of the Biblical context, or thread of prophecy. There are other related prophecies that happen around the same time as the " preaching of the gospel to all the world. "   

Matthew 24:15-20  "   When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:).  Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.  And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!  But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the Sabbath day: "

From these related prophecies we can see clearly that the  "  abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet " will stand in the holy place. So we can expect to see the gospel being preached to the whole world during the same time when this abomination of desolation is set up in the holy place. 

Now it is interesting how imaginative many people are as to what this abomination of desolation is, and what the holy place means. However, it is really pointless to engage in all kinds of vain speculations. Instead let us just let the Bible explain itself. Where do we find the scriptures in Daniel that refer to the abomination of desolation ?

Daniel 12:11    "  And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. "

Now here we have a reference to the daily sacrifice. Daily sacrifice ?  This is part of the rituals, and services connected to the Tabernacle (Temple) and Judaism. 

Exodus 29:38-42  "  Now this is that which thou shalt offer upon the altar; two lambs of the first year day by day continually.  The one lamb thou shalt offer in the morning; and the other lamb thou shalt offer at even: And with the one lamb a tenth deal of flour mingled with the fourth part of an hin of beaten oil; and the fourth part of an hin of wine for a drink offering. And the other lamb thou shalt offer at even, and shalt do thereto according to the meat offering of the morning, and according to the drink offering thereof, for a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the LORD.  This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD: where I will meet you, to speak there unto thee.  "

However, where is the physical Tabernacle (Temple) today in 2003 ? It does not exist. So the only logical conclusion for this prophecy to be fulfilled is for the Temple in Jerusalem to be rebuilt, and for the Jews to once again offer a daily sacrifice at the Temple. 

From the clues in scripture it seems that the abomination of desolation will be the image of the beast that will be set up in the Temple, and which the world government will force people to worship (whether the image will be of the man who will claim to be God, or an image of the political entity - it is not 100 % clear. More likely it will be an image of this man, but it perhaps will be something like an image of an emblem of the Empire, or perhaps something that symbolizes the Beast).

Revelation 13:14-15   " ..............saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.  And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. "

This image will probably  be one of the great ruler of this world government, symbolically called the Beast (but there is an outside chance it could be an image of something else) . This man will claim to be God, and will control a ten nation empire in Central Europe, which will also create and control a world government that will last for three and one half (3  1/2) years. This is the son of perdition, and the Anti-Christ.  

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4  "   Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;  Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. "

This man will claim to be God, and will sit in the rebuilt Temple, and there will most likely be an image of him set up that this world government will force the whole world to worship. The image will probably be set up in the Holy of Holies. 

During this period God will not leave the world without a witness. God will send the Two Witnesses to preach the gospel to the whole world. These two men (and folks they will be men - not women) will warn the world not to worship the image, and will be warning the world of the dire consequences of worshipping this man and the image, and of taking the Mark of the Beast, and will be announcing the coming of the Messiah and the setting up of the Kingdom of God. God will divinely protect these two individuals during their 3 1/2 year testimony, otherwise they would be very swiftly silenced by the powers-that-be. 

Matthew 24:14  "  And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. "

Zechariah 4:3  " And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. "

Zechariah 4:11-14  "  Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?  And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.  Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth. "

Revelation 11:3-12   "  And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days (3  1/2 years), clothed in sackcloth.  

" These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.

" And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.

"  These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.

" And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

" And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

"  And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

" And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.

" And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

"  And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them. "

The preaching of the gospel to the whole world by the Two Witnesses precedes the Great Tribulation.

Matthew 24:21-33  "  For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.  And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. " 

Matthew 24:23-28   " Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.  Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. "

Matthew 24:29-33  " Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:  And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. "

The gospel has not yet been preached to all the world as a witness, as of 2004. There are many people in the world, who have never heard  of Jesus Christ. There are countries in this world today where it is illegal to preach about Jesus. 

The world for the most part simply ignores some little preacher of the gospel today. So God has to hit this world over the nose with a big club to get their attention. The plagues these Two Witnesses will pour out on the earth, and upon their wicked enemies will surely get the world's attention. Otherwise the world just ignores God's servants. 

Christ will get the gospel out through the Two Witnesses. Christ will get the world's attention. The world will be warned of the coming wrath of God, and of the return of Jesus Christ, and the dire consequences of taking the Mark of the Beast, and of worshipping the Beast, who in his unbounded arrogance will claim to be God. The world will therefore be without excuse, when Christ returns to destroy His wicked enemies, and set up His Kingdom. Their blood will be on their own heads. Such foolishness to worship a mere man, who is but dust.

Greatest Sin false teaching that the greatest sin is pride.

Catholic doctrine teaches that there are seven capital , or chief sins. Let me quote from " THIS IS THE CATHOLIC FAITH " by Director: R.N. Mugford , Session11 page 3:

" Capital (Chief Sins)

" Seven in number. Not so much acts of sin, but leading tendencies toward sin. (a good self-examination list before confession). Each of these has its opposite virtue.

So there you have it. Pride tops the list of the seven chief sins according to Catholic doctrine.

A lawyer once asked Christ a question, " Master what is the great commandment in the law ? "

Matthew 22:35 - 40 " Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked Him a question, tempting Him, and saying, Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. "

Luke 10:25-28 " And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live. "

Luke 14:25-27 (from the Living Bible) " Great crowds were following him. He turned around and addressed them as follows: Anyone who wants to be my follower must love me far more than he does his own father, mother, wife , children, brothers, or sisters - yes more than his own life - otherwise he cannot be my disciple. And no one can be my disciple who does not carry his own cross and follow me. "

Deuteronomy 6:4-5 " Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. "

So what is the greatest sin ? It should be obvious. The greatest command is to love God with all our hearts, soul, strength and mind. Therefore the greatest sin is to break the greatest commandment. 

The greatest sin is to love something, or someone more than you love God. The greatest sin is to put something or someone ahead of God and Christ in your life.

It is a common doctrine among most churches that Christians go to heaven after death. The mainstream teaching is basically, if you have been good you go to heaven, and if bad you go to hell.

There are various denominational twists to this accepted dogma. There is the idea of purgatory for example. Some will teach you must believe in Christ , and if you don't you are damned. Others are much more inclusive, and believe God accepts all mankind into heaven as long as they are a good Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, etc.

To avoid confusion let us look into the Bible, which is the inspired word of God and the authority on the subject.

What happens to us when we die ? Well this has been explained in the previous section entitled Exposing the False Doctrine of the Immortality of the Soul. We go into the grave, and our bodies rot. We return to dust. But there is the hope of the resurrection. We are saved through faith. Christ and His living word the Bible promise us that there is a resurrection, and therefore there is hope (Luke 20: 34-37) (1 Corinthians 15:42-58) (John 11: 23-27).

The resurrection of the saints has not happened yet. This will occur at the last trump. At the blowing of the 7th Trumpet, which heralds the return of Jesus Christ and the setting up of His kingdom.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 " Behold, I shew you a mystery; we shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

Matthew 24:30-31 " And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. "

1 Thessalonians 4: 16-17 " For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. "

Zechariah 14: 3 -4 " Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives................ "

1 Corinthians 15: 20-23 " But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. "

Revelation 20: 4-6 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. "

The last trumpet shall sound, and then the resurrection of the dead saints happens. This coincides with the return of Christ to the earth. His feet shall stand upon the mount of Olives.

In the Bible there are three meanings for the word ' heaven.' 

1. One refers to God's throne, or home where He lives - this is in the spiritual realm. 
2. Another refers to the universe with all its galaxies and stars. 
3. Another refers to the sky, which surrounds our earth - the atmosphere.

So when it says, " and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other " - this doesn't mean the saints will be gathered up in heaven where God lives, but rather they will meet Christ in the air - the sky, after having been resurrected. Christ won't shoot up to heaven, but His feet will stand upon the mount of Olives.

When we die we return to the earth, but there is hope in the resurrection.

God described David as a man after God's own heart (Acts 13: 22)(1 Kings 11:4). It is prophesied that David will be resurrected and be in God's Kingdom (Jeremiah 30:9) (Ezekiel 34:24) (Ezekiel 37:23-24).

Yet it is clearly stated in the Bible that David is still dead and buried, and is not in heaven. 

Acts 2: 29 " Men and brethren, let me speak freely unto you of the patriarch David, he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. "

If the righteous go to heaven at death, then why does the Bible say plainly that David is not ascended into the heavens, and that he remains dead and buried ?

It is because the resurrection of the saints won't happen until the seventh trumpet sounds. As well the saints will be with Christ and Christ will be here on the earth, setting up His Kingdom. They will rule with Christ in His Kingdom, and will be here on earth (Daniel 7:27) (Matthew 19:28) (Luke 19:17-19).

Christ will rule the world from Jerusalem, which will be the world capital. The saints ain't going to heaven, except for maybe a brief official ceremony before God the Father's throne in heaven (Revelation 14:1-5).

The saints follow Christ and Jesus will be busy here on earth setting up His Kingdom and ruling the earth (Zechariah 8:1-3 , 14:9)

Micah 4:1-3 " But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. "

The reward of the saints is of course eternal salvation, but among other things it is also a job here on earth in Christ's Kingdom. There will be a lot of work to do. No the saints don't float around heaven on clouds for all eternity, playing on harps. God plans to eventually set mankind over the work of His hands (Hebrews 2:6-9).

Eventually, after the 1,000 years and the judgment period the earth will turn into a ball of fire. The incorrigibly wicked will be thrown into this lake of fire and burned up - this is the second death (Revelation 20:14-15).

God then creates a new heaven and a new earth. This will be on the spiritual plane, because there will be no more death, tears, pain or crying. Death, tears, pain and crying are part of this physical existence, and are associated with the physical bodies we now have. But when we have the spiritual bodies God has promised us, and after God is finished with this physical earth, then we will be living in the spiritual realm and so won't suffer pain, and won't cry.

There won't be any sin in the New Heaven and the New Earth, so there won't be any sorrow. There won't be any Devil and Fallen Angels around to cause trouble, and pain. The rebellious sinners will have been burnt up, so won't be around to cause others sorrow. All of the resurrected saints will have proved in this physical life that God can trust them to remain loyal and faithful to Christ and God the Father in God's Kingdom.

Revelation 21:1-4  " And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. "

Revelation 21:5-7  " And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. "

Revelation 21:8  " But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. "

Revelation 21:9-27 " And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.

" And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 

" Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;

" And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: 

" On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. 

" And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

" And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. 

" And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs (somewhere around 1,500 miles). The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. 

" And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits (which is about 216 feet) , according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

" And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass. 

" And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; 

" The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.

" And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.

" And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. 

" And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

" And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. 

" And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. 

" And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life. "

Holy Days   Myth that human ministers and priests have the authority to add and make up Holy Days. The truth is they have never been given such authority. God's Holy Days are listed in the 23rd chapter of the book of Leviticus in your Bible.

Leviticus 23:1-2 " And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings. These are the feasts of the LORD, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons."

These holy days do not belong to any particular religion, or race of people. They are the Feasts of the Lord. They do not belong to man. They are not Jewish. They are God's holy days. God revealed these holy days to Israel, but that did not mean Israel was the exclusive owner of them. That did not give Israel the right to alter or change them.

These days are holy days, because of the presence of God in them. That is what makes them Holy. If anyone will keep these days in the proper spirit they will quickly discover that God's presence is in them. God and Christ will teach you on these days. Of course they are all prophetic and point to Jesus Christ. Days cannot save us. Days cannot wash away our sins. It is Jesus Christ who saves us and washes away sins through His sacrifice.

1. Leviticus 23:5 " In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S Passover. " Once again this is the Lord's holy day. It was instituted by God Himself. Man did not invent or create the Passover, and have no authority to change, or add anything to it. Christ changed and fulfilled the Passover, when He died on the Passover for our sins. He changed the ceremonies associated with this holy day (Luke 22:14-20). " This do in remembrance of me, " Jesus said.
2. Leviticus 23:6-7 " And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. "
3. Leviticus 23:15-16 " And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven Sabbaths shall be complete: Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. " This is the Day of Pentecost. You count 7 weeks from the last weekly Sabbath in the Feast of Unleavened Bread and then add one day to come to fifty. The Day of Pentecost is therefore always on a Sunday.
4. Leviticus 23:24 " Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a Sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. " This is the Feast of Trumpets.
5. Leviticus 23:27-28 " Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. "
6. Leviticus 23: 34-35 " Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the LORD. On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. "
7. Leviticus 23:26 " Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein. " The is the Last Great Day.

The myth is that these days are Jewish. We have already dispelled that myth. These are the Feasts of the Lord. They are God's holy days, because God's presence is in them. Believe me, I have kept these holy days in their proper spirit, and I can tell you from personal firsthand experience that God and Jesus Christ will teach you during this time. This is especially so regarding the Feast of Unleavened Bread, because this has to do with us putting away our sins, and Jesus is very eager to help us do this and show us our sins, so we can work on them to overcome them. You have to keep them properly and in the correct spirit - then you can expect to feel God's presence in your life in a real way during this time.

Jesus Christ and His disciples kept these holy days. There are seven of them, which shows us they are complete the way they are.

Homosexuality - falsehood that the Bible doesn't condemn homosexuality.

The argument many professing Christians will make in defense of homosexuality is that even though the Bible condemns homosexuality in the Old Testament we are under the New Covenant, and now have only one commandment (in their opinion), which is to love one another, and so if homosexuals love each other then the relationship has God's blessings (goes the twist) . However these people forget that homosexuality is thoroughly condemned in the New Testament.

Romans 1:21-28 " Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; "

1 Corinthians 6:9 (from Living Bible) " Don't you know that those doing such things have no share in the Kingdom of God ? Don't fool yourselves. Those who live immoral lives, who are idol worshippers, adulterers or HOMOSEXUALS - will have no share in His Kingdom. Neither will thieves, or greedy people, drunkards, slanderers or robbers. "

1 Timothy 1:10-11 (from Living Bible) " Yes, these laws are made to identify as sinners all who are immoral and impure: HOMOSEXUALS, kidnappers, liars, and all others who do things that contradict the glorious Good news of our blessed God, whose messenger I am. "

2 Peter 2:4-8 " For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds; "

Jude 1: 7 " Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. "

Genesis 19: 1-13 " And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night.

" And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat. But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them (rape them).

" And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly. Behold now, I have two daughters which have not known man; let me, I pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.

" And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door. But the men put forth their hand, and pulled Lot into the house to them, and shut to the door. And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door.

" And the men said unto Lot, Hast thou here any besides? son in law, and thy sons, and thy daughters, and whatsoever thou hast in the city, bring them out of this place: For we will destroy this place, because the cry of them is waxen great before the face of the LORD; and the LORD hath sent us to destroy it. "

Genesis 19:23-25 " The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar. Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. "

Leviticus 18:22 " Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. "

Leviticus 20:13 " If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. "

Deuteronomy 23:17 " There shall be no whore of the daughters of Israel, nor a sodomite of the sons of Israel. "

2 Kings 23:7 " And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove. "

1 Kings 14:24 " And there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all the abominations of the nations which the LORD cast out before the children of Israel. "

Imminence of Christ's Return - myth Christ may return anytime, perhaps tonight.

There has been tremendous confusion regarding when Jesus Christ will return to set up His Kingdom. I have put together a web site on this very subject, which is specifically designed to make simple an extremely complicated and misunderstood subject.  To reach this page go to   Signs of Christ's Return.

Some folks believe Christ could return at any moment, and rapture them to heaven.  Yet there is no scriptural evidence to support that assumption.

I will just quote some scriptures that so many attempt to twist around to prove their belief that Jesus may return at any moment, perhaps even tonight or tomorrow. 

Matthew 24:36-39  "  But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. "

Matthew 24:40-44   "  Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.  Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.  But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. "

If you have gone over my article on the Signs of Christ's Return you will have a fairly accurate picture of the events that must precede the return of Christ.

I will just like to point out that we could die at any moment. None of us knows the exact hour of our death (unless we plan on committing suicide or something unthinkably horrible and terrible like that). Hopefully most of us will live to a ripe old age, but still we do not know when we shall meet our Maker.

This is why Christ said that we should always be ready for Christ's unannounced return, because none of us hopefully knows when we will die. 

Death is like going to sleep sort of. In the next moment of consciousness we will meet Christ. We will be unaware of the passage of time. Perhaps hundreds and indeed thousands of years will have gone by since we had died, but at our resurrection we will not be aware of the length of time of our  ' sleep'. 

I feel there are quite a few people who want Christ to return so desperately that they start to read things into the scriptures that really are not there. Christ will return when God the Father decides - not us. God has revealed certain events or prophecies that need to come to pass first before Jesus returns, and you can read them by gong to my web site Signs of Christ's Return.

There isn't a shred of Biblical evidence that there will be a sudden rapture of the saints to heaven. 

My educated guess as to the approximate date of Christ's return is probably sometime between the years 2040 and 2070. 

The Bible does not teach that human beings have an immortal soul.

Genesis 2:7 " And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. "

We are living souls.

Our human ancestors, Adam and Eve, were given a choice by God. They could leave it up to God to make the rules, and set the standards of what was right or wrong. On the other hand they could rebel against God and decide for themselves what they figure is right and wrong. They were given free moral agency.

Genesis 2: 16-17 " And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. "

Genesis 3:2-3 " And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die." This was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and the writer feels this may not be a literal tree, but merely symbolic of our two human ancestors given the choice of letting God set the standards, or rebelling against God's rule and they deciding for themselves what they thought was right or wrong.

The first recorded lie in the Bible is in Genesis 3:4 " And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die. " The woman was deceived into believing she would not die, if she rebelled against God's standards of right and wrong. Eve was deceived and rebelled against God's rules. Adam was not deceived, but he followed Eve rather than God, and so in the process also rebelled against God's rule (Genesis 3:6,12,17-19).

There is mentioned in Genesis 2:9 that there was also the tree of life in the garden. Adam and Eve could have eaten from that tree and lived forever ! Whether this tree of life was a literal tree is debatable. The writer feels this tree of life was symbolic of the Holy Spirit, and the fact that Adam and Eve had access to the Holy Spirit. But in rebelling, their personal access to eternal life was cut off. This is just the writers own interpretation. There is a lot of symbolism in the Bible. It could have been a literal tree.

So our first parents broke God's specific commandment. The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

Genesis 3:17-19 " And unto Adam He said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it ......................................In the sweat of your face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return to the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. "

So death came upon the human family, upon those made in the image of God. Therefore we the descendants of Adam and Eve have inherited this death from them. As well we all commit our own sins, and the wages of sin is death.

The Bible teaches that we are living souls, and that we are of the earth, and return to it at death. The human body is made up of 20-odd commonplace elements that are all present in the earth's dry dust. This is a scientific fact.  

Chemical Composition of the Human Body

3. Hydrogen (10%)
4. Nitrogen (3%)
5. Calcium (1.5%)
6. Phosphorus (1.0%)
7. Potassium (0.35%)
8. Sulfur (0.25%)

10. Magnesium (0.05%)
11. Copper, Zinc, Selenium, Molybdenum, Fluorine, Chlorine, Iodine, Manganese, Cobalt, Iron (0.70%)
12. Lithium, Strontium, Aluminum, Silicon, Lead, Vanadium, Arsenic, Bromine (trace amounts)

The Bible and true science agree on this point. Genesis 2:7 " And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. "

Psalm 103: 14-16 " For He knoweth our frame; He remembereth that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more."

All the various teachings like the wicked suffering forever in hell, transmigration of the soul, and reincarnation are simply beliefs that cannot be proven. There is no proof of these. They are simply belief systems not based on reality.

There are even people who believe pets go to heaven and live forever. Yet there isn't one shred of evidence this is so. This is just a cozy myth some people use to soothe themselves and deal with the difficult questions children bring up about death.

So is there nothing after death? Is there just a void ?

The Bible teaches that Christ won the victory over sin and death.

Very many of the Old Testament prophecies point to Christ. These are many powerful proofs that the Bible is true. Christ died and was in the tomb. After three days and nights the body was gone. There was an empty tomb. There were numerous eye witnesses that confirmed that Christ had actually risen from the dead.

1 Corinthians 15: 3-8 " For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures: And that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that He was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, He was seen of about five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, He was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all He was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. "

Through Christ's sacrifice, His shed blood, His death and His resurrection we can have forgiveness of sins. We can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. There is the hope of the resurrection and eternal salvation. Of course there are conditions we must meet before we are saved. Among these are that we must grow spiritually and produce spiritual fruits.

There is no where else to go for salvation. Acts 4:10-12 " Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by Him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of the builders, which is the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. "

The Holy Spirit is given to those who meet God's conditions (Acts 2:37-39) (Mark 16:16) (Luke 13:1-5) (John 8:23-24) (Acts 5:32).

If the wicked suffer forever in hell then the Bible is a fraud. The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). The wages of sin is not eternal life in hell. Death is the absence of life.

There is the hope of the resurrection. We are saved through faith. It is appointed unto men once to die (Hebrews 9:27). We will all die once, but if we meet God's conditions for salvation then there is the hope of eternal salvation, and victory over death. And this is not a groundless hope. It is very real, because it is based on the truth that Jesus died and was resurrected.

The fate of the incorrigible wicked is to return to dust. They will be burnt up and turn into ashes (Malachi 4:1,3).

The ones who will be tormented forever and forever in hell are Satan and the fallen angels (Revelation 20:10) (Matthew 8:28-34 note verse 29) (Luke 8:26-40 note especially verses 28 and 31). Satan is the one responsible for the lie that the incorrigible wicked human beings will live forever in hell fire, being tormented forever and ever. The truth is that this is the fate of the Devil and his fallen angel followers.

The false doctrine of the immortality of the soul is a huge lie. If people believe this myth then they can't understand the need for the receiving of the Holy Spirit. They become completely confused about the nature of the Holy Spirit. They believe they have eternal life already, and it is just a matter as to where their eternal soul will end up.

Jehovah's Witnesses  teaching that most of the saved will live forever with fleshly human bodies in the Kingdom - on an earthly paradise with human bodies that will never get old, or die.

The Jehovah's Witnesses teach a two tier system for the saved. According to their doctrine 144,000 of the resurrected will rule with Christ from heaven. They will be spirit beings. 

The rest of the saved, who are not part of the 144,000 will not be given eternal spiritual bodies, but rather they will live forever here on an earthy paradise with perfect physical fleshy bodies. 

To quote from page 167 of a Jehovah's Witnesses publication called Survival Into A New Earth, " The earth will be transformed into a Paradise in which the worshippers of the true God will be able to enjoy perfect human life forever. "

This is the part of the saved according to their doctrine, who won't be part of 144,000. Instead these persons will live forever in an earthy paradise with physical fleshy bodies that will never get old, and never die.

The 144,000 will be according to their doctrine part of the ruling class in God's Kingdom. Let me quote from page 154 of their publication Survival Into A New Earth from the paragraph entitled ' The Little One Becomes A Thousand'  :   "  When World War 1 ended, the gathering of the Kingdom heirs had not yet been completed. There were still more "sons" and "daughters" of heavenly Jerusalem needed to fill the foretold 144,000 that would rule with Christ in heaven. " 

They write in their publication True Peace and Security -How Can We Find It ?  on page 102: " But the Bible also contains God's promise that in the restored Paradise, death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain anymore (Revelation 21:3.4;compare 7:16,17). "   

Their publications are full of very seductive images of joyous people living in an earthy paradise - growing an abundance of crops, and with happy children playing, and people coexisting peacefully with animals like tigers and lions that have become tame and harmless. Apparently we are told that the lower tier of the saved (who are not part of the 144,000 saved ruling class) will nevertheless live on forever here on earth with human bodies just like now, except they will be perfect physical bodies that even though still flesh - will be perfect and eternal. According to their doctrine these perfect earth dwellers will not suffer pain, won't cry and mourn.

 Let me try to basically summarize their teaching here, since much of their doctrine on the matter is rather long winded and convoluted.  

The following is taken from their official web site, but not word for word - you can go to their official web site and read it there for yourselves: 

They teach that Jehovah created the earth so humans could enjoy living on it forever. He wanted the earth always to be inhabited by righteous, happy people.  They claim the earth will never be destroyed; it will last forever.

They teach that before God created man, He chose one small part of earth and made it into a beautiful paradise - the garden of Eden. Here he put Adam and Eve. God planned for them to have children and fill the earth, and gradually make the earth into a paradise.

They teach that Adam and Eve sinned by breaking God's law. So Jehovah put them out of the garden of Eden and paradise was lost. But they say that Jehovah did not forget his purpose for this earth. He promised to make it into a paradise, where humans will live forever.

The Jehovah Witnesses also teach that before earth can become paradise, the wicked must be removed.  This according to them happens at Armageddon, which they say is God's war to end wickedness. Then after that Satan is imprisoned for 1,000 years. This means that no wicked ones will be left to spoil the earth. Only God's people survive.

They also teach that Jesus Christ will then rule as King over this earth for 1,000 years. And He will gradually take sin away from our minds and bodies, and we will become perfect humans just as Adam and Eve were before they sinned. Then there will be no more sickness, old age, and death. Sick people will be cured, and old persons will become young again.

They also teach that during Jesus' Thousand Year Reign, faithful humans will work to turn the whole earth into a paradise. Millions of the dead will be resurrected to human life on the earth. If they obey God they will live on earth forever. If not, they will be destroyed forever.

I find their literature on this subject to be very seductive and misleading. The images of happy smiling people (always young, usually with happy kids, and smiling couples that never marry someone of the other race), growing an abundance of lush crops, and living peacefully with lions and tigers, are also very seductive and manipulative in my judgment. To project an image of joy, peace and abundance - that arise from living in an earthly paradise. So of course the implied message is that you should join the Jehovah's Witnesses, because then you too will be part of the joyous world, and of the Kingdom. It is just in my view a cleverly crafted Jehovah's Witness image of joy and abundance here on earth - a paradise on earth - a crafted image and perception designed to attract more members.

The pictures in their publications are extremely well done, but in my judgment it is just image building and crafty attempts to project a certain public perception - that in turn will attract more people to join their church. I feel they are misleading the people. 

Let me explain.

First of all my Bible does not teach that there are two classes of the saved - one that will have spiritual bodies and rule with Christ in heaven, and another that will live forever with perfect physical bodies here on earth.

1 Corinthians 15:42-50  "  So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. "

Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of God. Yet the Jehovah's Witnesses teach that most of the saved will live forever, into God's Kingdom in fleshly bodies - in flesh and blood. However, they probably try to get around this by saying that only the 144,000 will be part of God's ruling Kingdom, while the rest will just remain humans - but with perfect bodies that will never get old and never die. Apparently for the Jehovah's Witnesses us lower cast types will have to settle for second best. 

The 144,000. They teach that the resurrected 144,000 will be spiritual beings ruling with Christ from heaven. I have already thoroughly debunked the false doctrine that  heaven is the reward of the saved (even if there are only 144,000 who get to heaven). There has been a lot of speculation and confusion regarding the 144,000. My own judgment is that this is the number of resurrected saints Christ needs to fill the various positions in His world ruling kingdom when He returns. This may not be correct. Probably none of us can honestly say with 100 % certainty what exactly is meant by the 144,000 in Revelation. We may have to wait for Christ to return and explain it to us. 

The 144,000 are shown in Revelation to be before God's throne in heaven (Revelation 14:1-5). This may be just a presentation ceremony where the resurrected saints are just taken to heaven to meet God the Father. They will follow Christ, and Christ will be here on earth setting up His world ruling Kingdom, but this doesn't mean Christ might not travel with them to heaven so God the Father can officially welcome His children into His family. There is no point in getting all worked up about the meaning of the 144,000, because most of our interpretations would be just speculative. 

The Physical Body is Only Temporary

Our bodies are of the earth, and we return to the earth at death. But there is the hope of the resurrection. If we understand God's Holy Days we can understand God's plan here in earth, and then we won't get confused as to what God is doing here on earth.

One of the great lessons we learn during the Feast of Tabernacles is that the world and the things of the world are only temporary. We are just strangers and pilgrims passing through (Hebrews 11:13-16). Our physical bodies are of the earth and only temporary (Genesis 3:19) (Ecclesiastes 3:19-20). In this world we have no permanent home. Our permanent home is with God in His Kingdom as spiritual beings. 

The earth is only temporary, and one day God will change it. 

Hebrews 1:10-12  " And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:  They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. "

1 John 2:15-17  " Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. " 

My Bible teaches that we shouldn't set our hearts on the things of the world. Yet the Jehovah's Witnesses say that most of the saved will live forever here in the world. This is dangerous doctrine, because people don't concentrate on the spiritual as they should, but can very easily get caught up in the things of this physical earthly life. Like the seeds that fall among thorns - people who get caught up in the cares and things of the world, and who subsequently produce no spiritual fruits for God. 

We Are Of The Earth So We Cry and Suffer Pain

Revelation 21:4-5   " And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. "

The Jehovah's Witnesses teach that the lower tier of those receiving eternal salvation will live here on earth as flesh and blood, but in an earthly paradise where there will be no more pain, and crying.

This doctrine is ridiculous. Pain, crying and sorrow are part of the physical existence we live. It is impossible for a physical human being to live without pain. Pain is a part of this life, and is essential for our survival. 

In the new heaven and the new earth there will be no more pain, suffering, crying or sorrow. Why ? Because it will be an existence on the spiritual level. We will have spiritual bodies that will not suffer pain, won't die and won't be subject to all the sufferings and sorrows of this physical existence.

The Jehovah's Witnesses world would be a disaster. Let me explain. They claim the lower tier of the saved will live forever in an earthly paradise where they won't cry, won't feel pain, and where there will be no more sorrow. Yet pain is part of this physical world.

Let us say that there was a little Jehovah Witness living in this paradise, with his perfect body. They decide to cook some dinner, because they still need to eat - right. They turn on the stove, and the heating element is red hot. Accidentally they place their hand on the red hot element, but are unaware of it. Suddenly they smell something burning, and think it is the meat they are cooking. Opps it is their hand that is smoking, but they can't feel any pain. They don't cry neither, even though their hand is all burnt. Strange eh ?  

Another scenario would be perhaps some children who are playing in the Jehovah Witness paradise.  And apparently there will be children in this paradise, because I always see children with their loving parents in the pictures within the literature they give out. Anyways the kids are playing. Some boys are playing, and they are getting kind of rough. However, they can't feel any pain. So they toss and throw each other around, like balls. One jumps off of a high place and breaks his leg, but he feels nothing, yet the broken leg bone is sticking out of his flesh. Ridiculous, eh ? 

Flesh and blood human being cannot exist without pain. We need pain to help keep us from dangerous matters. However, in the Jehovah Witness world these second tier saints, the ones not good enough for heaven will live forever in the flesh, and will never die and never suffer pain. Ridiculous. You could just imagine people starting to do all kinds of stupid things in this fantasy world, because they would never die, and there would not be the deterrent of pain to keep them in check. 

Let us say someone is pruning their apple tree in this paradise. Opps they accidentally slice off their finger. Yet they have no pain. Silly, eh ? 

That kind of a world would not be a paradise, it would be a hell. 

And what about animals ?  The Bible teaches that in the new heaven and new earth there will be no more death, pain, sorrow or crying. In the Jehovah Witness paradise there will still be animals around, yet they won't die. Huh ? They will still breed, but won't die ? Huh ? What will the animals eat ? Only veggies ? Silly, eh ?  

The whole idea is silly.

No we can't live forever with the bodies we have now. The things of this world are only temporary, including our physical bodies. We look for permanent bodies, spiritual bodies. We look for a new heaven and a  new earth, where there will be no more pain, sorrow, suffering and death. This is a spiritual existence in God's new heaven and new earth, which will be on the spiritual plane.

False Doctrine that the Jews Represent all of Israel

This is a very common myth, which is incredibly easy to debunk. Yet incredibly many, many people hold to this lie. Why ?  Is it because so many are just biblical illiterates, or is it because of the many false teachers, who have mislead the people, or what ?

The word Jew is a nickname for the tribe of Judah. The tribe of Judah got its name from their ancestor Judah, who was one of the twelve sons of Jacob. 

Judah was only one of the twelve sons of Jacob, and Jacob's name was changed to Israel. Judah is only one of the twelve tribes of Israel. The Jews are part of Israel, but they are not all of Israel, but only the tribe of Judah. 

The twelve tribes of Israel are as follows:  

Genesis 35:22-26 " .....Now the sons of Jacob were twelve : the sons of Leah; Reuben, Jacob's firstborn, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun: The sons of Rachel; Joseph, and Benjamin: And the sons of Bilhah, Rachel's handmaid; Dan and Naphtali: And he sons of Zilpah, Leah's handmaid; Gad, and Asher......"

Folks this is very simple basic biblical knowledge here. I would have little problem teaching this extremely simple biblical doctrine to a child in grade two, or maybe even younger. 

God used Moses to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt - God delivered them from slavery. You can read in Numbers the 1st Chapter how the tribes were  numbered separately. In Numbers 2nd Chapter you can read how the tribes were to organize themselves, when they made camp and pitched their tents in the wilderness. Numbers 2:1-2  Living Bible " The Lord gave these further instructions to Moses and Aaron: Each tribe will have it's own tent area, with its flagpole and tribal banner; and at the center of these tribal compounds will be the Tabernacle." The tribe of Levi was the Priesthood tribe and had its own special place to camp around about the Tabernacle. So each tribe had its own distinct flag, flagpole and camping area.  When they broke camp and prepared to follow the cloud they did it in an orderly way with Judah leading the way ( Numbers 10:14-28 ). So it was all very well organized. Clearly God wanted these tribes to remain distinct, yet part of the general body of Israel. If God wanted them to be just one tribe then He wouldn't have gone through all the trouble of organizing them according to tribes.

God did not make make His covenant with the Jews only - He made it with all of the children of Israel - of which the Jews or Judah were one part. God did not lead only the tribe of Judah, out from Egypt, but rather He lead all of the children of Israel out of Egypt. 

The Law was not given to the Jews only - it was given to the children of Israel in the wilderness - to all twelve tribes of Israel.

The nation called Israel in Palestine today in 2005 today, is a Jewish state. Over 82 % of its population is Jewish. They have taken the name Israel for their nation - but they are really primarily Judah. Naturally they are part of the twelve tribes of Israel, but they are not all of Israel, but only the tribe of Judah. 

Law - lie that Christ did away with all the law, and nailed it to the cross, and that the law is our enemy.

Jesus Christ Himself refuted the notion that He came to do away with the law.

Matthew 5:17-19  "  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.  For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. "

Luke 16:16  " And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail. "

Ephesians 2:11  " Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

This was Paul's letter to the Church at Ephesus, which was made up of Gentiles. The Gentiles were not part of the tribes of Israel, of which the Jews (Judah) are one part of. Anyone, who was not part of the twelve tribes of Israel was considered a Gentile.

Ephesians 2:12  " That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

The first covenant favored Israel. God only revealed Himself to Israel (Amos 3:1-2).  In fact Christ Himself did not preach to the Gentiles, but was only sent unto the lost sheep of the House of Israel (Matthew 15:24).The early church consisted practically entirely of people from the tribe of Judah (Jews). Jesus Christ Himself was a Jew. Judah is one of the twelve tribes of Israel.

Ephesians 2:13   " But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. "  

God, through Christ has made it possible for the Gentiles to also receive salvation through the shed blood of Christ. 

Ephesians 2:14  "  For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

The wall or partition between the Gentiles and Israel was the Old Covenant, which was made between God and Israel only. God only revealed Himself to Israel. The Gentiles were not a part of the Old Covenant, which was God's contract with Israel. They were excluded. However, Christ is the Mediator of the New Covenant, which is made between God and the Church. The Church is not exclusive, but inclusive. The Gentiles are also called to salvation and can become a part of the true Church (Acts 10:9-16) (Acts 10:34-35,44-48).

Ephesians 2:15-18 "  Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in Himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. "

Through Christ's shed blood there is peace between Israel and the Gentiles. The Old Covenant favored Israel, and excluded the Gentiles. Christ has broken down that wall. The Church is described as spiritual Israel. Christ did not do away with the law, however.

Ephesians 2:15-19  " Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; "

Through Christ the Gentiles can become part of the household of God, and are no more strangers and aliens. They can become spiritual Israelites. 

Galatians  3:28-29  "  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. "

Ephesians 2:19-22  " And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. "

The Gentiles, through Jesus Christ and His shed blood, and faith in His sacrifice, can become spiritual Israelites. They can become part of God's building. They must build themselves upon the foundation. That foundation is the prophets, apostles and Jesus Christ. The prophets include people like Moses, David, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Malachi, etc.  - and the Apostles are the twelve, including the Apostle Paul - and Jesus Christ is the key to the foundation - the chief cornerstone. The foundation consists entirely of Israelites. Men who were of the tribes of Israel. The Bible is the foundation the Church is built upon. The Bible consists of both the Old and New Testaments. There are many, many references to the Old Testament in the New Testament, and it fact a lot of the New Testament consists of repeating material from the Old Testament - often word for word.

Christ is greater than the Law (Matthew 12:8) (Romans 6:14-18). Christ is our Master, not the Law (Romans 6:22). The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). Sin is the transgression of the Law (1John 3:4).  

In our attempts to save ourselves through keeping the law and commands we fail, because all have sinned (except Jesus Christ) and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23). 

Romans 3:20  " Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. "

God's various laws and commandments in the Bible show us what sin is. Sin is the transgression of God's laws as explained in the Bible. If we feel we can save ourselves through our good works of obedience to the law then we deceive ourselves. We are all sinners, since none of us mortal human beings are free from sin. As well we have inherited an evil nature, and also the death penalty, because of our original parent's Adam and Eves direct disobedience to God's specific command in Eden (Romans 5:12-21).

The Law cannot give us salvation. Salvation is only possible through Jesus Christ and His blood shed for our sins. Christ paid the penalty for our sins, which is death. God the Father will forgive us and accept us, and cleanse us from our sins, if we repent of our sins, believe in Jesus Christ, and are baptized (Acts 2:37-40). 

So if we meet God's conditions we can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, which is the down payment of the eternal life promised. The Law is then no longer our master. Christ becomes our Master. He bought and paid for us through His shed blood. Jesus Christ is greater than the Law. He is the Law. We are then no longer under the Law, and no longer under the death penalty. Of course we will still die, but there is the promise of the resurrection, and the promise of eternal salvation.

Does that mean Christ nailed the Law to the cross ? Absolutely not !  He paid the penalty for our sins, which is death. Christ won the victory over sin and death.  So now if we repent of our sins and believe in Jesus and meet God's other qualifications - then we can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, and then we are no longer under the Law, but under grace. Under grace does not mean we can just go ahead and ignore God's laws.

However, if we do not repent of our sins then God will not forgive us of our sins, and He won't give us the gift of the Holy Spirit. We are then still under the Law. We are still then under the death penalty - for the wages of sin is death.

Romans 6:1-2 "  What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?  God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? "

It is not our own righteousness that saves us, but Christ's righteousness. 

However, faith without works is dead. So God still expects us to make serious efforts to keep His commandments. One of those commands is the one saying we should remember the Sabbath to keep it holy.

James 2:14-26  "  What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?  Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.  Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?  Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?  Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?  And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.  Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.  Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?  For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.  "

None of us has perfect understanding of the scriptures and biblical doctrine. God looks at a persons heart. If we were perfect then Christ wouldn't have had to die for our sins, and we wouldn't need Jesus.

We are not perfect. There are a great deal of commandments in the Bible. The New Testament has quite a few that have been added - that are in addition to the ones in the Old Testament. 

Some of the Old Testament Laws have been fulfilled by Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for our sins. This includes all the various sacrificial laws, the cleansing laws and the various rituals connected with the tabernacle. 

As well under the Old Covenant there was a combination of church and state - regarding Israel. This arrangement is no longer in effect, so such sort of civic laws, or statutes given to Israel in the Bible are no longer in effect. For example the laws given regarding oxen in Exodus 21:28-36. The specific penalty for a certain transgression in this area is even spelt out - if an ox was known to be mean in the past, but the owner never kept him locked up - and the ox gored someone so they died, then the ox was to be killed and the owner executed.

These are all very interesting laws, but were more like the civic laws or statutes we have today. However, there is an important principle in place that still applies for us today - regarding the spiritual. It is a sin for you to endanger other people's lives by not keeping your vicious animal, or pet sufficiently constrained. Therefore, if you had a pit bull, or other potentially lethal breed of dog  that attached and killed of seriously injured someone who was just an innocent soul - you have sinned. Because you have shown no love for your neighbour, and have deliberately put their life and limb at risk, by not restraining your pet. Of course if a crook had tried to rob you and your dog attacked them then it is different. Many of these seemingly old fashioned Biblical laws have modern day applications. They can be quite useful for law makers today, as guiding principles. 

Another point we must discuss is individual interpretation of Biblical Law. None of us is perfect. There is no perfect Christian, but Christ said we should strive for perfection. Do we all have the same interpretation of the various laws ? No we don't. 

However, there should be a basic understanding of the clearly black and white Biblical Laws (and there are a great many laws that are plainly black and white) like : you shall love the Lord God with all your heart, soul, strength and mind; thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not lie, don't covet what belongs to your neighbour, and the importance of not making idols, and not worshipping idols, and not taking God's name in vain, not blaspheming or using very profane language, not hating and killing, not committing incest, honouring your mother and father, not taking God's name in vain, not being a prostitute or homosexual, being angry with someone for no reason, keeping the Passover annually as a remembrance of Christ's sacrifice, and so on.

Other laws are more gray and subject to individual interpretation. Laws like the eating of clean and unclean meats, the keeping of the annual Sabbaths (excluding the Passover), how far or strict should one be or go in respecting the higher powers, some sort of words may be considered swear words by some but others would not regard such words as swear words, the interpretation of things like gluttony and drunkenness - some can hold their liquor better than others and some seem to need to eat more, some parents sleep (we are not referring to sex, but just sleep) with their small children but others may regard this as wrong and maybe even sinful, and we could go on and on - there are tons and tons of gray areas of the law. 

The weekly Sabbath command is part of the Ten Commandments. For me it is quite important, because it is part of the Ten Commandments, and one way of honouring God. So for me, I do not feel this is a gray area of the law. The correct time is from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. I feel keeping the weekly Sabbath is one key to insuring your salvation, because it keeps one focused on God, and it is a test command, and it is an act of living faith. You are just trusting God, that He will enable you to survive in this world while observing the weekly Sabbath. One must examine ones motives - if we just go along with others by keeping Sunday as the weekly Sabbath (even though there is no evidence to suggest the Sabbath has been changed from the seventh day to the first day of the week -Sunday) then we are simply more concerned about pleasing men then God. We are supposed to put God first in our lives - not society, or other people. I feel very strongly that the weekly Sabbath command is still very much in effect and is a clearly black and white command, and it is one sign you are God's people, and it is the great test command. 

God looks at a person's heart - at their motives and intentions. We should examine our hearts. Are our motives pure ?  Regarding the gray areas - if we feel something is wrong - then we are not comfortable with it, and may feel it is a sin to do it. So it would be wise for one to not do such a thing for the sake of our conscience. 

God can give us wisdom to deal with these matters sensibly, if we just ask God for wisdom in prayer. There is no clear cut simple answer to these questions. There is no magic bullet. God can give us wisdom to deal with them.

Everyone has the following fundamental freedoms: (a) freedom of conscience and religion; (b) freedom of thought, belief, opinion and expression, including freedom of the press and other media of communication; (c) freedom of peaceful assembly; and (d) freedom of association. "
